Santiago's

My mom and I tried this place for the first time on Jan 14, 2025, on our way back to Pueblo from Denver. The food was great and the service was even better! DANIEL definitely deserves a raise! He was very polite, helpful, informative and always on point! Thanks Daniel!!My mom had a child's plate and I had a smothered carnitas and beans burrito bowl with half and half green chili. My mom liked mine so much that she got one to go. We really enjoyed the chips and salsa as well. Light, crispy chips and delicious, spicy homemade salsa. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable! The restaurant was clean and playing good music. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We will be back for sure! I hope Daniel well be there when we stop in.

Living in Denver for over 20 years Santiago's has been a staple for quick Mexican food. My recent visit has nothing to do with the staff. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The burrito on the other hand. I had a breakfast burrito with the meat of the day. It was worst than "Where is Waldo" finding the meat. Don't know what the meat was. Second, it had zero flavor. The look was there. It just didn't taste like anything. The green chile and chicharrón were lacking any resemblance of pork. Overall they need to overhaul the cooks or revamp the recipe. I would say they are a pass.

Ok, so I had to make a detour on my last trip to the Denver area and visit Santiago's as I used to really enjoy the Indian Taco when I lived there a very long time ago and surprisingly this restaurant location is still there which was great to see. They have several more locations in the area since I last visited and I can see why they are expanding as the Indian taco and their famous green Chile is a must have and it was as good as I remembered. Simple, flavorful and that texture of the fried shells layered with the cheese and green chile sauce is heaven I think.

Burritos this morning were bone dry, no green chili inside. The entire office agreed. Maybe economy ? Used to be my favorite burritos to bring to offices. I'll have to pick a new restaurant.

Awesome green chili. Never disappoints!! Breakfast burritos are always spot on. I live out of state now but always stock up on a few quarts when I'm in town!

Very good food! I LOVE the green chile sauce!! The chips and salsa are fire! Can't wait to go back.

Where's the beef? Noticed a vast reduction in the "daily meat". I've go to this place 20 times a year. Today as always I ordered online. Ordered pickup ASAP. Email verification order will be ready for pickup at 9:47. Stood at area that has in the past been the pickup area although there isn't a sign indicating as such. After waiting until 10:05 and told a gal that I was awaiting an app order. She said you have to check in at register where there are always a bunch of people making new orders. I told her I've never done that. She was uninterested. Stood in that line behind people making their orders for ten minutes. It then took another ten to be completed. Why would I order online to stand behind ten people doing in person ordering? Never ever going there again and will gladly spread the word. Pathetic.

Todays lunch was good. Some of the chips were a little stale but we just went with it as he didn't want to bother. Missed the lunch rush which was nice. The server was polite and we were served right away. The burrito he had and my Chile relleno were delish. Well made. I scooped the rest of the green Chile with the leftover chips. Yum! The place was bright and we enjoyed our time there. They were playing country which I like but he didn't :) no problems with parking in the small lot.

Normally I am a huge fan of Santiago's but this location didn't quite come through. Headed there for breakfast burritos but they took 15+ minutes to make (very rare), not very warm (cheese wasn't even melted) and staff was very short and cold.Unfortunate since I love Santiago's so maybe this was just an off day.

Nice spot saw a couple people walk to and from the restraunt so decided to try it out, Kinda remineded me of my moms cooking, after the day she made it an theb made the left overs into burritos , chips and salsa togo would of been dope Still would go back after the munchies, Bring your own green pepper cholula!!:)
