San Guchito is a South American Street Food truck usually parked on 18th and Wazee St. serving up breakfast and lunch. Seeing a Hispanic Chef doing his thing and killing it was awesome to see. While I didn't try the breakfast menu this time, their lunch was absolute fire What I ordered: * Lomo Salteado (Peruvian): sautéed beef with shoestring potatoes and a side of Huancaina sauce (aji pepper-based) * Grilled Chicken (Fusion): tomato and rocoto jam, chimichurri, roasted veggies, and cheese with an aji salsa verde * Plátano Verde (plantain-based dough) empanada filled with egg and chicken, topped with a salsa de tomate de árbol Best bite: Everything was top tier, but that empanada? Incredibly delicious! The plantain dough makes it GF and just as good (if not better) than a regular empanada. The egg and chicken filling was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the salsa de tomate de árbol on top with the pickled onions was .
