Really solid service at this place. The servers know their food and menu!Beautiful ambiance! Old and rustic and has great old town boulder feel. The food was great! I had the burrata - fantastic! I had the tomato soup - amazing. I had the 13oz Riebeye - cooked perfectly to medium rare. So tasty! We had the chicken dish as well and it came with a lot of potatoes and broccoli. Also perfectly cooked. Very happy with all of the food!

My best friend and I came to celebrate our birthdays and were sorely disappointed by the service. We paid over $250 for our bill and received service that was lackluster at best. Our server knew very little about the wine or the menu for that matter and no one even wished us a happy birthday although we told the manager, the host and the server we were celebrating. It was an ordeal to be seated in the cellar which is what I had requested on my reservation and they only be grudgingly sat us there because I insisted. The food was quite good, but definitely not a place I would've chosen to celebrate a special event. We left feeling like the experience was really anti-climatic and overpriced for the overall experience.

Great location (Pearl Street Mall, good service, good food. My friend and I enjoyed dinner at SALT on a Friday night; we made sure to get a reservation ahead of time. The tomato soup was creamy and tasty and the bolognese was enough for us to split. We sat downstairs for dinner this time but I've sat upstairs previously . The upstairs is noisier and crowded, downstairs is more relaxed and quieter. I also like that they offer outdoor seating.

Service was good, but because we were in the corner we didn't see our waitress as often and ended up not ordering a second round of drinks, and ended up somewhere else. I love the ambiance here and it's a great spot for bigger groups. The drinks are always good, and we had a round of Beet It which we all loved. The food however is the downfall for me. I have yet to have something I loved here, and for $30 a plate, it's just not worth it. The Gnocchi was dry and hard to eat while the sauce was good, but the overall taste was not. Everyone in our group said the same about the soups and salads.

What a treat! We sat in the main dining room and received impeccable service from the hosts, our server, and the support staff. We started with a winter burrata salad and cocktails. The salad was amazing with distinct flavors that complimented each other so well. We also had the fresh baked bread and butter and loved the salty crust. For a main course, we had the risotto of the day--with mushrooms, wine and chicken. We relished every bite we could and took the rest home. We were too full for dessert but know that we will be back for more!

I went there with some work colleagues. The service was okay. I ordered the lamb chops. The portion was 2 small pieces of lamb with bone throughout. The price was $40 which was outrageous and they had sprinkled an ample amount of salt over each piece which made it almost inedible. I would have sent it back or said something but i was with work colleagues and did not want to make a fuss. We ill try a different place next time.

Went to Salt while in Boulder over the past week. I hadn't been there in 9 years, so I was excited for the food. I ordered the Venison, polenta, and asparagus. The venison was lackluster. The polenta was awful. overly salted, very greasy, not tasty at all. The asparagus was limp, overcooked, greasy, and too salty. The venison was $45; the sides were $10 each. not worth it at all. I was definitely disappointed.

Very unfriendly unprofessional greeting upon entrance by a woman named Marissa who was wearing a skirt so short I could see her rear and underwear. She told me that she had no available tables after I had called in 20 minutes prior and was told there was plenty of open seating available and the I didn't need a reservation. I looked around and saw many open tables. She tried to sit us at a dirty little corner bar seat in the back and I told her no they told me I could sit at a table when I arrived. She then told me I was giving her "attitude" I asked to speak to the manager and she scoffed and laughed in a snide way stating she is the manager. We walked out and left no thanks that was so awful.

Waiter was great, but very embarrassed because some of the food was so horrible, other was good. Flip a coin. Literally, the cup of Tuscan bean soup we got as an appetizer was fantastic, while the bowl of the exact same soup received as a main dish by another in our party was barely edible it was so salty. The trout ordered by one of us was great, the lamb I ordered had to go back three times. Ordered medium rare. First were two hockey pucks. Brown and shriveled - so bad I can't believe they were let out of the kitchen. Next time they were raw. The third were back to hockey pucks again. Extremely disappointed. Go if you're feeling lucky because quality is a coin toss. BRING BACK TOM'S TAVERN!!!
