We found this hole in the wall Detroit style pizza joint on a cold, wintry day. the outside is not much to look at, it's on an old strip mall. We're so glad w didn't let the exterior deter us. We were greeted by the owner Jason, who guided us menu.We ordered the house salad which was very fresh, it has pickled red onions, bell peppers , cucumber and a balsamic vinaigrette. Next came the Calabrian pizza. The crust was crunchy and caramelized, the topping is generous and loaded with cheese, it can with a side of marinara sauce and ricotta cheese. Our first bite was "wow!!". I can't wait to come back when the pizza craving hits.

Easily the BEST pizza I've ever had!My husband and I shared the Pep-Bacon and it was incredible. Amazing flavor and best crust. We also tried the cheesecake and it was perfectly fluffy and creamy.Inside is small and seating is limited, but if you get the chance to dine-in and chat with the owner you will absolutely have a great time!

If you don't think this pizza is 5 star you might need to have your head examined. Plus if your reading reviews you might want to trust people like me who have over 1,600 reviews and been an elite Yelper for over 10 yrs. What's not to love about this place! Nestled in an old strip mall and if you weren't looking you could drive right by. Ordered my pizza on line and went to pick it up. I ordered some marinated olives, The Calabrian pizza and some Italian ice to take home. Showed up when my order was supposed to be done and it was ready to go! Gentleman who I assumed was the owner was super friendly and didn't recognize me from all the other regulars rolling in to pick up their Friday night pies. Even mentioned it and see you next time. In a world of chain Meh! Meh! This is what I love about finding hidden gems like this! I had the Calabrian with Ligura Pepperoni, Old World Peperoni, Spicy Capicolla, Jalapenos, Parmesan, Brick Cheese, Aged Provolone, Sharp White Cheddar, Buffalo Milk Mozz& Fresh Mozzarella, Ricotta, Basil and Tomato Sauce + I added extra pepperoni just to make this a meat pizza paradise. One thing to note this is take out only so don't get on here and knock them for that. Lots of places in Detroit and NYC don't have eat in with take out being the only option. I got this home and OMG just looking at had me drooling. Served with whipped ricotta, spicy chili sauce and marinara. This pizza was awesome!!! The crust, the crispness the flavor bomb was out of this world. Skip everything else and come here if you want unique Detroit style pizza from people who know what they are doing! I will for sure be back and would recommend you do as well!

I never was much of a "pizza girl", and always preferred local spots with unique specialties over chain pizza places. Even then, I was never the one to suggest getting pizza... until I tried Rock City Pie and Ice. This locally owned spot has quickly become my favorite takeout place in Colorado! Orders are easy to place online, ready quickly, and taste so good! Our go to is the Calabrian, but the Carmine is also delicious! One pizza is enough to feed two hungry people with a little bit leftover. Their homemade Italian Ice is also a refreshing end to the meal - Lime is my personal favorite.One small criticism is that the leftover pies really do need extra sauce and the included small container isn't enough. Other than that, this place checks all boxes for me!{Review No. 4 in 2024}

I highly recommend this place! Their deep dish pizza is amazing. I love the crispy crust that it has, as well as all the toppings are quality toppings. Most importantly the owners and staff were incredibly friendly every single time we've gone to them. Great ambiance to this place.

We got takeout from here and we will be coming back! Everyone was super nice and the food was fantastic! Definitely get the mozzarella sticks- best I've ever had. We got the Pennwood and the Meatballer pizzas and they were amazing! Very filling so we are excited to eat the leftovers tomorrow!
