Red Lobster

Walked into a clean and pleasant restaurant. Not very busy on Friday at 5:30 PM but that's perfectly fine! After being seated, our cute, bubbly server Sam took our drink orders and was pleasantly attentive throughout the evening. Hubbs got the fish and chips and I got the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake and it was tasty. The noodles were perfectly cooked but it needed a lot more butter and garlic in the sauce so I'll take it home and add my own fresh garlic. Hubby wanted a cup of clam chowder and I got a cold, crisp side salad and both were fabulous. The fish in my hubbys meal was a large, beautiful piece of fish but it was a little bit too greasy. His coleslaw was great and the fries were good. The biscuits were hot and fresh and fluffy too. It was super appreciated to see the manager walk around to speak with the guests and see how they liked their meals. One doesn't see that much anymore. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Ultimate Feast! So yummy and lots of food so I took some home for lunch the next day. Server was nice and friendly. Not crowded. Great place to go for Family style meals. Food slightly too salty.

Of the Red Lobsters in Aurora, Southlands is by far the most clean and comfortable. Mom and I enjoyed the $5 Watermelon Martini and the $20 endless shrimp. The scampi is the best in flavor and size (who wouldn't like all that lemon butter goodness?). The side of pineapple sauce is very complimentary to the coconut shrimp and super delish (tasted like a dessert). The menu specials are reasonable priced and our waiter was uber friendly! The manager was kind to stop by for a quick chat and appreciation for our patronage. Definitely a great place for fish and shrimp. And did I mention those biscuits???? Oh em gee!

Food is ok. Pricing is very high for quality. The restaurant is clean. Service was friendly.

Went here for date night on a Monday night. We were seated quickly but the manager told us they were busier than expected. We were told that they had sent staff home because they'd been so slow but then they got busy. Our server Rihanna was very attentive but seemed stressed and was very busy. She was both waiting tables and tending bar.The food was delicious! I got the Bar Harbor Bake and my husband got a New York Strip steak that was cooked perfectly medium rare. We split the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. And we got Meyer Lemon Cake and Brownie Overboard to take home. My frozen peach margarita was extremely disappointing but my husband's Bahama Mama was delicious.We did have several negative takeaways though. We could hear the kitchen staff arguing with the servers through the door to the kitchen and the servers were also complaining about various things and making loud annoyed noises while in the kitchen area. Also, Rihanna had two women get seated at the bar and she told them "I'll be with you when I can." After 10-15 minutes without service (not even a drink order) the women walked out frustrated. The lemon cake we took home was missing the sauces/garnish advertised on the menu and the ice cream for the brownies was one little scoop for a large serving of brownies. We also ordered the a Chocolate Wave but we're given a Brownie Overboard.

Their signature biscuits are always so dry but so good; it's bizarre.The strawberry lemonade slapped, but I had a sip of my dad's peach smoothie and it BANGED. Definitely getting that next time we come here.The calamari was awesome, especially with the sauces.Ordered the crab linguini alfredo. It was pretty good. I mean, didn't blow my mind or anything, but good nonetheless. One criticism I do have is that the crab meat - aside from a few nice hearty pieces - honestly looked kinda mushed-up, which was unappetizing to look at, but it tasted fine.My parents ordered the baja shrimp bowl and enjoyed it.The Brownie Overload was really good, but very inconvenient to eat. Just really awkward, really difficult to cut through the brownie and ice cream since it wasn't in a bowl or anything, and really inconvenient that everyone had to reach to the center of the table to eat it.Place was clean. Waiter was great; I think his name was Landon. And service was so quick! We only waited ~10 mins for food.

Tonight me and my partner decided to go grab some dinner at red lobster, we used to eat at the lone tree location at least 2 or 3 times a month, so we are no stranger to what they have to offer. To start, the host was extremely rude but we just brushed it off, we both work in customer service type jobs so we understand how a long day starts to affect the way you act. We sit down, our server keeps going to the table behind us and taking care of them, no big deal she's busy. 20 minutes pass and nothing until we wave someone down and kindly ask if they were our server or if someone else was, he was very kind and said he would go grab her for us. She apologizes for the wait and we order drinks, another 15 minutes before our drinks come out, but only my drink, my partners didn't come out for another 5 minutes. She disappears, comes back after a while and asks if we want appetizers, we order mozzarella sticks, and clam chowder soup, we ask for some biscuits, you can't go to red lobster without the biscuits. We are here for an hour at this point, we get our appetizers, we try to order but she basically runs away from us, we wave her down and ask if we can have plates for our bread and mozzarella sticks, at this point we are getting antsy and frustrated from how much she keeps dodging us. I don't know about you, but if i'm about to drop close to 150 dollars on dinner, I don't want to eat my bread or cheese sticks off of a napkin. We get plates, cold and wet and definitely not clean, we just push them to the side and settle for our napkin plates. Another 15 minutes go by, we haven't seen her. We wave someone down and ask for a manager, turns out he was the manager, he was extremely kind and understanding, we tell him what's been going on and he tells us he's going to find her right away and get our order. She comes back and here starts the attitude. We watch her walk over while also yelling at the manager, probably about how she was "on her way to do it" she snaps at us and says "and what can i get for you guys?." I order, my partner orders. We get our food quickly. I ask for ranch, she says that she will get it if she remembers. Um... okay? She eventually brought it after i was basically done with my food. Partner got the create your own feast. Crab legs? Cold. Lobster tail? Cold. Shrimp? Microwave warm. Rice? Crunchy. Butter? half solid half liquid. My food? Tenders are cold, fries are the best part, mac and cheese? cold in the middle warm on the outside. Partner found plastic in mashed potatoes. (picture below.) Manager stops by and lets us know that a 20% discount was added to our bill. I told him that truly wasn't necessary but I do appreciate it. We didn't want to bother him about the food as he seems like a busy guy and we didn't want to cause more trouble. At this point she is standing across the way from us wiping down tables but absolutely giving us dirty looks. We ignore her, we wave her down for boxes and the check, she brings it to us, only after taking 20 minutes and only giving us one box, and if you've been there you know the boxes are small. We ask for another one and just ask her for exactly what we need. We tell her to have a goodnight and she just stares at us and rolls her eyes. Personally, I was devastated when the other location closed. We had been going there since I got my drivers license and it has always been our date night spot, we always had the same server and she was like family. We hadn't been to another one since the other one closed just because this one is a little out of our way, but we were in the area and decided to extend our night out. Unfortunately, I think our years at red lobster have come to an end as we probably will not return to this one. Just too expensive for the service that we received. Thank you to the manager for being the best part about this red lobster.I forgot to add, seafood tasted frozen.

Red Lobster in the Southlands area is great! I have been to other locations and this restaurant is well kept, clean and all the staff and management is very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you visit is great and food is good. The new hushpuppies and new menu items are great! I will definitely be back!!!

Everything delicious, fast and friendly service and peaceful. totally recommend!!!!!!!!!!
