Purgatory Cellars

Our country club was booked up for Mother's Day brunch but it ended up working out for the best because we discovered Purgatory Cellars does a Mother's Day brunch. My mom even said she would prefer to do that in future years vs. going back to the club!It was a very affordable option for Mother's Day but we liked supporting a local business. It also felt more intimate and carefree, not to mention an easy commute & parking situation from where we live. I think the only thing that would make it a perfect 5/5 Star brunch would be bigger forks, add knives, more napkins, & smoother ordering process. We were first timers at the winery so we didn't know what our tickets got us. Really the offering for Mother's Day brunch is on point & some small logistical improvements would really make this a perfect outing.I'd been dying to come to try their wine so this was a great way to be exposed to the winery. We hadn't known that ordering a mimosa meant buying a whole bottle of champagne but after trying their "Indulgence" my mom & I agreed we would get that everytime. They also provide a great plate of food for the ticket price that won't have you leaving hungry. The staff were also lovely.Looks like I'll be coming back soon since my husband who couldn't join us says he wants me to take him to their regular Sunday brunch.

We came on a Saturday around 4, we were the only people there and the service still wasn't great. I got a wine flight and one of them was so bad that even the woman working there said it wasn't good and gave me a new glass. I had another that tasted like it had turned sour but the worker said that's what it was supposed to taste like. We also got glasses of champagne and they somehow came out two very different clarities even though they came from the same bottle, and they also tasted sour. I don't know if their bottles have been sitting in the heat or what but I was pretty disappointed with a couple.

Fun place to enjoy great wine. Nice to sit on couches next to the fireplace while relaxing and enjoying wine. Cece was helpful and Made the experience fun. Try out the membership, it is a great way to enjoy different wines at a good price.

This place is awesome. Great variety of wines, aging techniques & flavors. Great spot for parties or a quiet date night per my wife (she really loves when we go here) *she gets the glitter bomb Bourbon Barrel "indulgence".

Yhey have great wine in a European style with very knowledgeable staff We will definitely be back! A hidden gem!!@

Unique flavors and a large selection of wines! Love this winery! Such a cute place for ladies night out! Excellent customer service as well! Will continue to go back!!

Love this place. Ivanka and Marko are the nicest and the wine is fantastic! Great setting for a small gathering of friends. Will be back many times!!!

I love this spot!!! It's super cool inside with a really cool wine press piece + cozy couches & fireplace + table & bar seating a great private room for small groups. Hosted my bookclub (aka wine drinking nights) here a few different times - Jenn & David the owners were super friendly & put out a beautiful Grazytable for us to much on & the last time they had fabulous glitter bombs to enhance the beauty of the already delish wine. **perfect for Instagram. I love Purgatory Cellars soo much, go there asap!!

What a wonderful establishment!!! Jenn and David are such wonderful owners and they do an amazing job making everyone feel so welcome! The wine here is delicious along with the brunchuterie they have every Sunday!!!! If you haven't been to Purgatory in Castle Rock you are missing out!!!

The best place to end date night in Castle Rock. David and Jen are amazing hosts and the wine is delicious!
