Disclaimer: "every month is black history month if you do it right"If you asked me about my thoughts on Popeyes chicken, I'd say they're doing it right. Fried to perfection. But If you asked me about my thoughts on Popeyes chicken on a deeper level, I'd say....Oh, honey, let me tell you about the most profound, soul-stirring experience of two black folks savoring Popeyes like it was a holy communion. Picture it: two melanated foodies, united in crispy, golden glory, embarking on a culinary journey back to our roots, one chicken leg at a time.We strutted into Popeyes like royalty, heads held high and stomachs rumbling louder than Grandma's Sunday sermon. We ordered with a swagger that could only come from knowing you're about to feast on the nectar of the ancestors. The cashier handed us that greasy, orange bag, and we felt a spiritual connection stronger than any Wi-Fi signal. As we bit into that first piece of chicken, the crunch echoed through the heavens. Angels sang, trumpets blared, and Colonel Sanders himself must have shed a single tear of jealousy. We were reminded of backyard cookouts, family reunions, and that one time Cousin Ray-Ray tried to fry a turkey and nearly took out the garage. Good times."Why did the chicken cross the road?" I asked. "To get to Popeyes, where the flavor's at!" We laughed so hard, we nearly dropped our biscuits. Speaking of which, those buttery biscuits were so divine, they had us speaking in tongues. "Hallelujah, pass the honey!"And the sides, oh my, the sides! Red beans and rice so good, it made us want to write love letters. Coleslaw that could solve world peace. And let's not forget those Cajun fries, seasoned with enough sass to make Beyoncé jealous. As we sat there, devouring every last crumb, we reminisced about all the best times. Auntie's house on a hot summer day, sneaking an extra piece of chicken when no one was looking, and all the burnt scars from a hot comb. It was a time machine made of crispy, juicy goodness. So, if you're looking for a meal that's more than just food, that's a trip down memory lane with a side of giggles and joy, Popeyes is the place. Just remember to bring a brotha (not a brother - no hard "r's"), an appetite, and maybe some extra napkins. Because when black folks eat Popeyes, it's not just a meal...it's a celebration of heritage, humor, and all things finger-lickin' good.

Ordered a classic 5 piece chicken combo with fries and coke, I received 3 tenders no fries, and cherry cola. They didn't listen to my order even though they had me repeat it multiple times. Very annoyed luckily this isnt close to me and I only stopped by cause I was in the area, no other Popeyes has messed up my order like that.

The Biscuits!!!The chicken here is amazing, but the biscuits really steal the show. I honestly could eat just a plate of biscuits. Excellent fountain machine as well, accessible to customers for refills. They have the computerized version whereby you can select from a million different kinds of cokes and flavors.

Popeyes motto is "love that chicken" and its prominently featured on their advertisements, building poster and even on the employees T-shirts and I have to agree, they have great tasting fried chicken but the service here is slow, slow, slow. I must have waited along with 5 other people around the front counter for about 20 or so mins until my order number was called out. Other than that the employee at the front counter was friendly and helpful and everything else was fine.

really bad. chicken was so stale it was very dark in color on edges from sitting in the heat bin too long. They got my order wrong and it took a while to get it fixed to pay. Then, items were missing. I'd complain if i thought they cared but I can tell they don't.

Do not come to this Popeyes, notoriously known for messing orders up (used to order for lunch) and the most recent time I went they stole money from me. Charged me $32 for one chicken sandwich. Absurd

I truly am shocked by how much they can do wrong with barely any customers (id leave a 0 star if i could) every time i have gone now something happens. The first time i had went, the food looked like it just left diddies with how much it shined (couldnt eat it obviously cause it made me sick to look at it (lots of grease)) and then now today, THE FOOD WAS UNDERCOOKED (PINK) how is that even possible to undercook fried food and which sits in a hot plate??? Absolutely terrible Popeyes i recommend if ur thinking of getting food here find another popeyes and i wish u better luck. Thanks for your time and thanks for wasting my money 3122 S Parker Rd Popeyes

This location takes the prize for the restaurant/fast food outlet that has screwed up my order more than any place I have EVER visited. At least twice after previous screw ups (added to the dozens of times I didn't call) I have called their corporate office to mention to them that they should not be screwing up something as simple as a chicken order, but to no avail. How hard is it to get 3 chicken breasts correct?Today I ordered 3 spicy chicken breasts. That's all. 3 spicy chicken breasts. What part of that is confusing to them? After the counter person had to ring up my order on 2 different registers because one accepts cash only and the one next to it accepts card only (another sign of pitiful management), I got home to realize they gave me a 3 piece snack order... 1 wing, 1 thigh and 1 leg.Once a few months back I ordered 3 chicken breasts and got home to discover 3 thighs. Guess I still can't get it through my thick skull to check the order before leaving the counter, especially at this place, but I don't want to hold up customers in line behind me any more than their workers do filling the orders that may or may not be right despite definitely taking too long. In my case I'm not sure they've gotten an order right more than about 5 times in a decade or so. At least 7 people working today and none of them seem to be able to get it right. I won't be back at this location (though I've said it before and stupidly did go back)... it's kind of like being a Rockies fan... you hope against hope they'll get it right at some point. The chicken is great. Everything else at this store is anything but. This location clearly needs new management, and if the district manager has been over this location for a while, that person should be fired too, since this is such a chronic problem at this location. Sure, mistakes can happen, but in this place, it's so frequent it's become expected. In their case it would seem like a mistake if they ever got the order right!I won't even go into the delivery people always getting priority, no matter how many people are waiting to order.
