Top notch place to eat in the Greenwood village area of Denver. I came with a group of 12. We still got very fast service and the food did not take long at all to come out. Everyone at my table left happy and full. I got the Texas Redfish Ponchatrain. It was super tasty. The service was great. This is not a cheap place to eat. But the quality was there.

This place totally blew me away. It was my first time, and the food was incredible! The crab spinach dip had plenty of crab, it was super juicy and fresh. The pasta Mardi Gras had a ton of huge shrimp. The crème brûlée was perfect... no complaints about this meal at all. Nice dimly lit restaurant (which I prefer). The restaurant was clean and our server was very helpful with recommendations, and was very knowledgeable about the menu.

Our experience at Pappadeaux started off on the wrong foot. I brought a very large party, and although I had called ahead to ask about reservations, I was told they don't take them and we could just walk in. Upon arrival, seating became a major issue. Despite several tables being available that could have accommodated our party, we were moved around and offered six separate tables instead. After nearly an hour of back-and-forth with the manager, we were finally placed in a private room, which resolved the issue. The saving grace of the night was our server--she was absolutely phenomenal, and I regret not remembering her name. Once we were seated, the experience improved significantly. The food was fresh, considering the size of our group, though if I were dining solo, I would've preferred it to be warmer. I ordered the alligator as my entrée, which was delicious and always a highlight for me when visiting Pappadeaux. My husband had the seafood platter, but his experience wasn't as positive. Items from his order were forgotten more than once, and he found the oysters to be soggy. The drinks were a highlight--flavorful and well-made. While the food was decent overall, the standout here is definitely the ambiance. The sea-themed decor, elegant interior, and the beautiful fountain and water features outside make it a great place to enjoy a night out if you are focused on atmosphere rather than the food. In the end, I'd say the experience was mediocre, with a mix of frustrations and a few bright spots. It's worth visiting if you're looking for a visually impressive setting and can manage some potential hiccups in service.

If you've got a family with a craving for seafood and don't want to roll the dice on last-minute seating, booking a few weeks ahead at Pappadeaux's is a solid move. This place is always buzzing, but luckily, the massive parking lot saves you from a parking nightmare. Plus, it's right off the highway--super convenient. It's your classicl seafood joint--think wood accents and that laid-back, slightly nautical vibe that says, "We serve oysters, but we won't judge if you're in jeans." We were there early-ish, around 5:30, and yet it was still packed. Thankfully, we scored a private room, which was a lifesaver for keeping out the noise.I started with a dozen oysters, because, let's be honest, it's not a seafood dinner without them. Fresh, briny but not too much, they hit the spot. Next up, calamari--a crispy crowd-pleaser. For the main event, I went with the fish special. It was cooked just right--flaky, not too salty or dry. My only gripe? The greens. Overcooked and a bit soggy, which was a bummer, but hey, they weren't the star of the plate.Prices have crept up since my last visit, but I didn't leave feeling shortchanged. The portions are still hearty enough to warrant the splurge, and I definitely walked out satisfied. Would I rank Pappadeaux's as my number one seafood spot? Maybe not, but if you're craving fried shrimp, Southern flavors, and a place that can handle a family dinner (or a special occasion), this is a solid pick. Reliable, tasty, and you'll leave full. What more could you ask for?

Pappadeaux is consistent and they know how to serve up properly cooked seafood. The New Orleans influences includes lots of cream and seasoning. The fresh bread and whipped butter are always a hit. The food is rich and may be on the edge of saltiness, but the warm service and cocktails makes for a nice dinner out near DTC. This restaurant combines what I like about casual dining with a touch of better service and quality seafood options. While not amazing, definitely a decent place for a dinner with family and friends.

Pappadeaux used to be our go to spot for fresh seafood and the best in Denver, but over the last few years their quality has really gone down the drain. There are a lot of menu changes to certain dishes but the prices remain the same ($30-60). Fish dishes are either super salty or undercooked and you have to wait for them to be recooked. The past Mardi Gras was recommended to me and told it was very good. It's visually appealing and looks flavorful but it had absolutely no taste besides the spicy sausages. The sauce wasn't even like a sauce but more of a watery base. The only thing we really look forward to nowadays is the Caesar salad, which is pretty sad to say.

One of the best meals, best seafood restaurant, its been 3 weeks and am still dreaming about the food. Everything and I mean everything was a tasteful experience, I've never seen my family love everything on there plate, the portion sizes are crazy. Ovene baked crab cakes is one of the largest and freshest I've ever tasted it is a whole meal in its self, very little breading and a how buttload of crab, thick crab. The shrimp and crawfish fondeaux amazing, we had this crab finger wow, so good. Everything was amazing. One of the best waitress she was attentive, knowledgeable, had great recommendations, super sweet. We loved the stylist of the restaurants we got to seat family style it was cozy in spacious. I wish this was closer to home.

Haven't been here in a while but we came for drinks. Seated right away and we perused the menu. I had the strawberry mangeaux tango drink - a vodka with margarita drink. It was good. Smooth and delicious. Also decided on the oysters. She had a swampthing and a salad. We did enjoy the meal. Our server was great, attentive and friendly. The place was clean and cozy. Parking in a private lot. I would like to come again.

Upping one star. When I walk in, I will ask the table preferences (nicely of course) and specify away from the restroom. Since the last review, never had a problem and have only been a positive experience.Like fellow Yelper "Patrick" said, I did order the fondue as an appetizer and gash... it was good...very good. So cheesy and buttery and bits of spinach and shrimp on top of crunch garlic bread, definitely worth every penny. Ordered fried heaven platter and immediately requested "to-go" box. My lovely date did the same. All were good... excellent!Food, service and ambiance.... perfect. If you get a chance, try the courtyard during evening hours. Highly recommend that unforgettable southern charm! Perfect bland of soft and hardcase to wow you!

Service was great. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Each time we've come here the portions have shrunk and the prices have increased.
