Ozzie's Smokehouse BBQ

Amazing BBQ.I smoke and grill a lot. BBQ is usually so disappointing (although a few places make a good effort). Ozzie's is done right every time. The sides are not what I expected, but delicious nonetheless. Not just in the Springs, but for anywhere, anytime Ozzie's is the bomb.

My favourite dish at Ozzies is definitely the collard greens. It's loaded with chunks of pieces of pork, tender and flavourful. The baked beans ok but needed ketshup and mustard added. Some jalapeños would have been awesome. Although tasty, the meat was dry. Let it fall apart and then perfect! The other sides were good. The place is spacious and quiet on a Friday early evening. Service quick and friendly. Price reasonable. We love the proximity to our house!

Good food, prompt service and atmosphere!Check it out when you can, I had the ribs and sides. Our party of 5 enjoyed the food and service and would come back here again.

Decided to door dash this tonight...and it's pretty middle of the road in every aspect. It almost feels like in an effort to appeal to everyone, the flavors were just really toned down. With the exception of 1 item. Ordered a half rack of ribs, 3/4 lb of brisket chopped, 1/2 lb of pulled pork, green chili mac, baked beans, and green beans. The best item, probably the green beans. When you are a smokehouse, i feel sides shouldn't steal the show, but in this case it did. The baked beans were next and then the ribs. The ribs actually had decent flavor but it was a battle to pull them off the bone. Also the taste reminded me of Chinese spare ribs or Crispy duck from a Chinese restaurant. The brisket was good, but fairly dry. The pulled pork was the same. It's not that it wasn't good or bad, but it was just ok. I think my wife summed it up..."it was good, but I'd be ok if we didn't get them again."

So I walked in at 1230. Not one person in the dining room. First thought was oh no. The charming man at the counter handed me my Togo bag, chatted me up about my overalls and sent me on my way. When I got home, I dug in. Holy flipping crap. Not only were the ribs perfectly cooked, amazing pink smoke on the outer, juicy and delicious but the tri tip was to die for. This place is for sure being slept on. Anyone not eating here for their fix of Bbq is missing out. Forget dickies, forget anywhere else, if you want the best Bbq in town Ozzie's is the place to go. The sauce is fire, the food is bar non the best in the Springs. Prices were more than reasonable for the quality of food. Also the Mac and cheese had just the right amount of cheese to pasta. Go and get yourself something amazing and you will not be let down.

Got delivery and was disappointed. The first thing I tried was the Mac and cheese, which has canned green chiles in it for some reason, but seemingly no cheese. It really tastes like they made the bechamel and then forgot the cheese. No where near good enough to serve at a bbq place.BBQ beans were standard. Tasted slightly better than Bush's Green beans were pretty good- nice but if bacon and a touch of vinegarKielbasa had the flavor and texture of a boiled frankfurterBrisket had decent flavor but was pretty dry. At least it was sliced--why does everybody chop brisket here in COS?Pulled pork was pretty boring. Dry, bland, not much smoke. Cornbread was fine

Tried Ozzie's for the first time today, and it was great the meats were really moist, and the sides obviously homemade. Everything was fresh and not overly sweet, which is a really nice change compared to most BBQ joints. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back!

Great owner & service Mac & cheese was goodBut the ribs, got a rack and they needed to be cooked for another hour at leastI hate to give a bad review but it's getting old going around town paying good money for uneatable food that you get excited for then super let down. Not much smoky flavor

I've ordered several items from this joint. They put the street tacos as a permanent item on the menu!! They never disappoint and it has become my go to place for lunch atleast once a week. The owner is awesome and is always coming up with new specials that delight!
