Ocean Prime - Denver Tech Center

Classy and great vibes!Came in tonight for our reservation of 5 and was treated well from start to finish. Had the gin gimlet to start off and it was great! real earthy. Paper plane super refreshing and wasn't overpowering with the alcohol. The Apps, had the shrimp cocktail which had a great smoke trail on it. Sushi was pretty good too. Our server Crystal recommended the halibut special with lobster and that was probably my fav halibut dish ever. Great presentation with the sauce poured after. Also had a taste of the ribeye which was super tender and lightly seasoned outside with something special.Dessert, had the peanut butter cup dish that was amazing. Hope to be backP.S. What a mixed experience. Starting with the positive, it has a beautiful interior, valet parking, lots of staff and comfortable seating. So what possibly could go wrong in this environment? How about sea bass containing approximately 2 ounces of fish with a tiny piece of broccolini across the top for a mere $58. Was that a typo error? Nope! So was it good? Yes, but the portion was so very small. It wouldn't even qualify as an appetizer. One of our friends had a New York strip steak (Yes, it is a fish house) and saw my portion and was kind enough to offer me a small portion of her steak which was around 2 ounces of steak. The cost of the steak $66 or $68 but at least the 2 ounces allowed me to go home without first stopping at another restaurant to actually get a meal. I did complain to the manager before leaving when he asked me , "how was the meal?" I told him I wasn't happy with the size of the meal. He offered to provide me a free appetizer on my next visit. I'm going to have a difficult time returning to this restaurant, knowing that you don't get value for the money spent. I came ready to spend the $58 as well as $18 for the cocktail I ordered. Unfortunately, the fish and vegetable portions were so small, I would have had to order 3 meals to get a normal size adult meal. Not acceptable. I'm not returning and they can keep the complimentary free appetizer.

My husband and I went to Ocean Prime for our Anniversary. We were excited to try the DTC location as the last time we'd been was in Dallas. Unfortunately our experience was a bit subpar. First, we waited 20 mins past our rez time, when I asked about our table they realized they'd taken the wrong couple back to our table. They quickly corrected this but then the restaurant was slammed and while our waiter was amazing, the food took a very long time. We were told it was because of a large party but then when we got our food my halibut (special that day), was tough and my husband's steak was cold. I think they had been sitting out. We loved our sushi appetizer (ocean roll) and the bread was delicious. I was looking forward to my halibut because it sounded amazing but was really disappointed in the taste. I didn't say anything because we had waited so long at that point. I did really enjoy our side of smoked Gouda tater tots. And they did treat us to a dessert for our anniversary- we ordered the peanut butter pie desert and it was SO decadent and delicious. But after a 2.5 hr dining experience after a 20 min wait, and the disappointing mains, I don't think we'll be back. Only giving this 3 stars bc of the amazing dessert.

Its the company lunch hangout and didn't disappoint. Been awhile since last visit. Excellent service, awesome selection and wine and drink menus were notable. Love the ambience especially the waiter station nearby you so they can check on your table more often. Our waiter was trying hard to upsell. LoL.Didn't get a chance for the dessert but their creme brulee looked too pretty to eat!

I loved everything about my time at Ocean Prime. At Ocean Prime, they really went above and beyond in every category. From the service to the presentation, the decor, and even the music. Everything was to my liking. And the food was divine. Each dish was cooked perfectly--generous portions of the best ingredients. Flavor is on point. Prices are what you expect in a place like this, but it's all worth it for a special occasion. I will have to come back. Thank you for providing such a nice night to enjoy a lovely meal. Valet parking is offered or self park for free!

Amazing experience and service. Went there to celebrate a high school graduation in our own private room, and was not disappointed. From the beautiful setting and atmosphere, to the excellent service everyone provided, to the yummy food and drinks. It was for sure a great place to celebrate a new beginning for our graduate. Since it was a graduation celebration, the parents of the graduate set a menu from we all could pick and appetizer, a main dish, and a dessert. They had options for meat eater, pescatarian, and even a vegan option. Was very impressed. Definitely recommend for celebrations or just for fun.

We arrived early but didn't have to worry about parking or traffic of downtown- it was easy. The staff was friendly from the beginning and we were sat nearly immediately. Our server started by recommending the special- the octopus- it came and was my 2nd favorite thing all night! Crispy, fresh and zesty- great all around! We had the wedge salad with fresh, but not overwhelming blue cheese. We moved on to my favorite entree of all time- the Chilean sea bass with the truffle vinaigrette!! NEVER disappoints- flaky, fresh, light and awakens your palette with every bite! For dessert we got the crème brûlée and the special (banana pudding)- outstanding! The crème brûlée had a thick layer of sugar and fresh berries with a whipped cream. A great way to finish the meal! We will continue to come to this location again and again and again....HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Our family had such a delicious and fun dinner at Ocean Prime to celebrate my new job. Lisa, Lead Bartender, was amazing!! She truly knows how to deliver the best customer service and of course drinks and cuisine.Look forward to our next dining experience.

Food was great and we had an awesome dinner. We enjoyed the seafood tower and then I had the Alaskan halibut which was amazing. Until I was awoken in the middle of the night and stuck in the bathroom all night.

Tina in the bar is first rate . All class . Great recommendations and so personable. The lamb chops were great! We will come back . Go for happy hour before dinner to see Tina!
