Governor Polis visits On HAVANA Street - hosts lunch at the Nile 03.09.2020
Awesome food
Meager layer of lentils inside what looks to be a flour tortilla being sold as a sambusa.
The aftermath: You figure out what happened. ;)

Since my "adopted Ethiopian family" introduced me to this restaurant in 2014, we've been eating here! Since it's under new ownership, it has a whole new look, and the food is just as incredible as it's always been! For newcomers, order the veggie combo with beef or lamb tibs - thank me later!!

Met up with a pastor mentor of mine who recommend the place as the most authentic Ethiopian dining in Denver. He was not wrong, as soon as you enter you are greeted with an amazing rush of smokey incense and the smell of amazing flavors. We ordered the vegetarian plater then added an order of chicken stew and beef to add to the feast. We ate to our hearts content and there was still more left to take home. Everything tasted spectacular, I can't wait for the next time I get to meet up with my friend here again. Till then I'll keep dreaming of of this culinary adventure.

Some of the best Ethiopian food in the U.S. Lots of vegan options. Great value. Location: In a mini mall with plenty of free parking. Ambiance: Casual and clean. Food: If you have not had Ethiopian, don't be intimidated. Staff is very helpful and food has similarities to Indian food in terms of spice level and cooked veggie forward. Loved every dish, distinct spices in each and you eat with your fingers (pull off some sour bread and grab the food with it). Soooo good!! loved it. We had chicken, lamb and beef plus large veggie combo plus beer. $110 for 4 people and we were stuffed.

I can NOT believe I forgot to write a review for this place! I ABSOLUTELY love Nile Ethiopian restaurant. The food is SPECTACULAR. I am new to Ethiopian food. The waiter and manager were not only very patient with me and my sister's questions, they were nice enough to give us a separate sample of the spices to try! They were so welcoming to other cultures trying their cuisine out. The four out of five star rating is mostly due to the wait of the food. Smelling the spices in the back whilst hubgrily waiting was a torture that was worth enduring.

Super Delicious Veggie platter with Lamb tibs. The server was super sweet patient as we asked a million questions. I would certainly go back. As for ambiance its a mixed bag... st first it felt like I was in the wrong lace. The signage is bad and the entry feels a bit odd but once settled in the booth it felt was cozy.

The samosas at tonight's Yelp event were fantastic as well as the owners graciousness. I can't wait to get over to the restaurant for a full meal!

I'd heard a lot of amazing things about Nile and I'm so glad I finally stopped by. This Ethiopian food was packed with amazing and unique flavors. My friend and I got the veggie platter to share and we also took leftovers home so come in knowing that the serving sizes are large.

Went here for lunchtime on Valentine's day and had a super lovely experience. We ordered a couple sambusas (very tasty) and the vegetarian combo, which is always what I get at Ethiopian places. There were two kinds of yellow lentils, plus red and green lentils and shiro wot. Of course also there were potatoes/carrots, green beans, cabbage, and collard greens. Not every vegetarian combo at every Ethiopian place gives you so many options, so the rainbow of lentils was great. The service was very kind and nice to us and the environment was quiet. We had plenty of food to take home as leftovers, and we received a new basket of injera to go home with our leftovers as well. The prices were a little high but that's fine with me as there's no way I could make so many such dishes at home, and both my partner and I each had multiple dishes of leftovers to enjoy after as well. The flavors were incredible and we can't wait to go back. Very nice meal and a happy time for us.

One of the first Ethiopian restaurants we tried after moving to Denver. The first night we came, there were no vegetable sides available so we decided to come back another night - and glad we did. Lamb tibs were delicious (though low meat to sauce ratio). Veggie sides all tasty too. Service may seem slow to some, so allow plenty of time and patience. More expensive than a few other spots we've tried. (FYI closed on wednesdays)
