Since there does not seem to be a way to write a tip these days, I'd like to add the following info on the Nutella Cannoli. They vary in style greatly depending on who is making them. Please know, that like most good cannoli makers, they fill them when they serve them. Only large bakeries, like those in the north end of Boston sell them fast enough when crowds are in line to save time, can afford to pre-fill. They make a nice display but if held too long the get soggy, as you may have had in a grocery. So give the staff here a hint of how you prefer it, unless they are very busy. They are all good it appears unless you have strong preference on amount of chocolate "load." My first one had a medium amount of the mini chips and light on the Nutella. The one tonight was loaded with chips and Nutella to the point I could not taste the whipped ricotta. Too much chocolate for me but my husband, who has had fewer classic cannoli, loved the chocolate load. I also noticed one coming out with very light chocolate, little Nutella noticed at all and a sprinkle of confectioners sugar on the middle section. My personal choice is the most classic (based on my many NY and Boston experiences) is to have some chips on each end, anchored with the Nutella as in my first one and then nothing on the middle exterior or just a sprinkle of confectioner sugar. Maybe, when possible, make a suggestion to the maker when you order if you have a strong preference.I would like to add to my previous review, the pizza was stellar. Great crust, big dark bubbles the norm where I grew up eating pizza regularly, very nice sauce and cheese. Will definitely get one again another time. And planning on a Caesar also. And as all say, a really great view in Boulder from the top floor of Avanti. I live here, many of my favorite landmarks are visible. But not my home, obscured by that tall building where I first worked when I moved to Boulder decades ago.

Amazingly delicious East Coast style pizza. Fantastic char on the crust. The Italian sausage has a little bit of heat to it. I sure wish they would have done sliced sausage instead of pulled. Sauce and cheese just perfect. Love the thinness.

Amazing Pies. The crunch on these are truly delicious. We had a feast. 6 pies in total and they were all absolutely delicious. We had 3 and then immediately ordered 3 more. It was 9 of us so we were hungry. Lots of options at Avanti but all we wanted was more of that delicious crunch. The ambiance at this location was one for the books. So festive and very family friendly. Absolutely loved the view from the rooftop. Must see if you're in Boulder for the Holidays. Don't forget to get a salad for the pizza topper. It's a thing and it's delicious.

I had the steverino and substituted the sausage with basil to make it vegetarian. It was amazing! The crust and toppings were so good. Wasn't a fan of the pretzel and the dipping sauce last time but the burrata plate is also awesome and they have good desserts. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite all time simple meals is a Caesar Salad [Romaine with creamy parmesan & black pepper], Prosciutto [Biellese prosciutto di parma. 24-month aged from New York, NY.], and one of their lagers on tap ideally from Avery Brewing at Avanti's New Yorkese on the roof! They have the best views of the flatirons especially in a clear brisk day, and no matter what's weighing on your mind or heart that combination will help clear it and bring you back to peace.

The pizza at New Yorkese in Boulder, CO is as good as the best pizza I've had in NYC, NJ, Philadelphia and Colorado ... or anywhere else in the world, for that matter. My all-time favorite is the Annie pizza prepared bambino style (light bake/softer crust). The pizza is only half of the story, the folks that work there are always friendly and smiling. And to top it all off, they've got a spot on the top floor of Avanti; perhaps the best rooftop views in town.

Fantastic crust. Their red sauce pizzas are excellent. The forager has no red sauce, and came out with a ton of extra aioli or some creamy white sauce crisscrossed all over the top. Not my thing.

I wasn't in the mood for pizza last night, but the person I was with wanted it. Sigh. The basic pie for $15 was adequate. Nothing like New York pizza. In New York (where I'm from), you spend a few more bucks, but the pizza weighs about three pounds and you eat it for days. This could have been wolfed down in one sitting. There's really nothing I can say other than it was food and I had to eat something.Topping off the lackluster experience-- a $6.30 tip was added to the bill, unbeknownst to me. I had to go to the counter and ask for it to be removed by the sullen, disinterested counter man. I don't tip if I'm ordering at a counter and then going back to the counter to pick it up. Maybe if the food or the personnel were better, but last night... NOPE. People in Colorado do not know what good pizza is. It's something I always loved eating in New York. Out here it's kind of a waste. Just my opinion, of course.

I've had pizza everywhere and this place is right up there with the best of the best. Always cooked to perfection with the freshest toppings. Staff is always friendly and fast. Order, then go to the bar get yourself a nice drink, find a table. Mangia! And the views from the deck are world class.
