Run, don't walk, to this gem! Boulder's Hill has a fantastic new addition, and in my opinion, it's raising the bar for quality dining in the area. Nana's serves up authentic Chinese dishes, from dim sum and wontons to buns, fried rice, and more. Every single dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and high-quality. I'd even say the fried rice was the best I've ever had! We couldn't pick a favorite - everything was outstanding. The interior is a bit on the cozy side; it's dimly lit with limited seating, and the airflow could be better, so smells tend to linger. However, it's comfortable enough, and they seem to do a solid takeout business, which would be a perfect option too. I'm thrilled Boulder (and CU students!) now have access to such delicious, authentic Chinese food. I'll definitely be back!

The best part was the food which I would rate a 4 if you want or need to do takeout. I think it was designed to be mostly takeout as the counter area is set up for that well. It is in the heart of the Hill business district near many students looking for food but maybe not dining. The booths, about 7, were comfortable but the lighting very dim. The ventilation could be better. The counter staff was friendly and helpful. However as others have said, the dishes come out randomly, small fried items first. For shared plates for a group it's maybe not the item you want to start with while waiting for bigger or steamed options. With takeout, you have the meal in totality when you walk out the door. The star for us was the red bean paste steamed bun. They are huge and different from most places, absolutely full with red bean paste. We also had the sesame balls which have a bit of red bean inside but the sesame was predominant. They were fried very stiff and the first thing ready but extremely hot. The veggie egg rolls came next and was also very deeply fried but with a light amount of filling which was a bit bland, more so than a close by competitor and definitely not as enjoyable compared to that nearby place or to others I've had on Pearl. The steamed shrimp dumplings came next and were tasty but very fragile to try to eat. Last came the red bean buns, large round goodness. The servings were standard sized and more than enough for lunch for 2. We took leftovers home and easy to pick up the containers on the counter to pack. There were very few options for drinks and though the online menu stated iced tea, they did not have any today. They did have fountain drinks which we don't use.We will come back again for takeout of their food. We will experiment with some of the larger plates for a dinner option. Give them a try, they seemed to be locally owned which some similar places in Boulder are not. They have been open since the end of December 2023, but recently had a relaunch celebration.

Service is good, food is even better. Every time I come to visit Boulder I make sure to get the chicken and corn dumplings, the chicken lo mein and a soup. I will have to branch out more next time but overall nice chill interior and all you really need. They should really add a chicken and sweet corn soup. I love the lo mein because it reminds me of this restaurant I went to as a kid and has this specific taste I haven't been able to find in a lot of other places. But overall dumplings are truly very good quality.

Pretty much everything we ordered was good! It's not a dim sum place with carts. After you enter, you order at the counter, and they bring you out the food as soon as it's cooked. You're essentially getting one plate at a time to share instead of all the plates at once. It's all fresh. You can see the worker in the window making dumplings by hand. We enjoyed the fried buns, the Chinese broccoli, and the shu mai pork dumplings. Eat them with their house made chili oil and soy sauce. We ordered boba, but I would probably skip the boba here. Their pearls aren't a soft texture. Great spot to stop for lunch. The restaurant itself was okay. A bit dark and small. Service was excellent.

I really liked this place ! Quick to order and nice people. I got the thumplings , shu mai and Szechuan chicken. All were good. The chicken came with a mayo sauce but it wasn't needed. But the best was the stirred fried string beans. They are blistered and have fried crispy garlic pieces in it. Yum. Teas were good also. Fresh cold water is self serve. I loved the mini dumplings the best. I never had dumplings like that and I liked them more than regular sized ones bc they are just easier to eat. It's a great place for a lunch bc you order up front and they bring the food to you. So, semi casual.

Sooooo good! I've ordered from here a few times now and have enjoyed everything I've tried. The food is fresh and hits the spot every time. Some of my favorites:Xiao Long Soup Bun - some of the best I've had. The broth inside is so flavorful and the dough is like a little pillow of goodness. Could literally eat these every day.Pan Fried Thumblings - a best seller for a reason. Fried to perfection and not heavy, but rather light, crunchy, & juicy. Little bite-sized balls bursting with flavor. Best bang for your buck.Stir Fried Green Beans - YUMMM, but a little pricey so I don't order all the time. They are so good you don't even realize you're eating veggies.Red Sea Chili Wontons - the red chili sauce is the perfect coating for these super delicate wontons stuffed to capacity with well-seasoned pork & shrimp. Also a good bang for your buck.Seaweed salad - a nice, crunchy app to offer a brightness to the meal. For $7 you get a good sized portion and the texture is perfect. The sauces on the side are also really tasty. We love Nana's :)

It was more of a fast food sit down type of restaurant which surprised me, but I think is fitting for Boulder. Everything we ate was delicious. The chicken feet were new to me and surprised me with how much flavor they had! I'd say the matcha mochi was the highlight of my meal because it was very refreshing. Our server was patient with my friends and I as we tried to collect our order.

The food was so good! We did order the veggie ones and I was a little skeptical since I'm a meat eater, but honestly, these were our favorite!! Only one complaint: it was near closing time and we were sitting towards the back near the bathrooms. The young person cleaning the bathroom mopped the bathroom and rolled the mop bucket right by our table.. the smell was out of this world disgusting. The same mop and water was used to mop the front entry causing the whole place to smell like a toilet. It's unfortunate because the food was really good!

Authentic and fresh dumplings & noodles! In the heart of University of Colorado town. The sorority and frat houses were right behind the restaurant. Not the best looking place aesthetically - it was actually pretty dark and shabby inside, but man the black vinegar and hot sauces on the table were excellent. The broth for the wonton soup noodles was definitely a bit bland and it's only saving grace were the wontons themselves. For what it was, I also felt they were a bit over priced. A good, but not great place. I'd rank it pretty decently mid.

Good but not nearly as good as the Denver location. It is open until 2AM which is nuts and awesome. You order at the counter here and there are maybe 5 tables in a long dark hallway. 100% try the Denver location Boulders is meh.
