My Neighbor Felix Colorado Springs

I shared brunch here with a friend and we were greeted right away and given menus, the weight staff was super patient while we talked and caught up before we ordered. We ended up staying here for three hours and never felt rushed, which makes me want to order extra drink drinks and come back again! The food was hot, the cheesy potatoes were to die for, and they have the best to go boxes for the tacos so they don't spill! The Christmas decor was on point, you really felt like you were walking into a pop-up bar at 10 AM on a Saturday Haha. 5/5 stars all the way around.

My Neighbor Felix is a Colorado Mexican chain that serves amazing food and even better drinks. There are 3 locations as of the time of writing this review: LoHi, Centennial, Boulder, and Colorado Springs. If you're looking for a spot to relax and have a good meal with a drink or two or to impress a date, I would highly recommend My Neighbor Felix.First off, the food we ordered was absolutely amazing. Given that it is an American Mexican spot, I will admit that my expectations were set at a moderate level, but I was blown away. We ordered the My Neighbor's Nachos, Salsa Trio with Chips, and Churros. They were all a 5/5 but the nachos in particular were... well just look at the picture attached to this review and you'll get it.I have to give a shout out to Dannica, the bartender that made our phenomenal drinks, and Abby, our server who never left us waiting. I have been to many bars and have had many drinks made by some awesome bartenders and I can say with confidence that Dannica is a particularly talented mixologist. Whatever drink you want, Dannica will make it and it will be the best version of that drink you've ever had. Abby was the kindest, most attentive server I think I have ever had. She made our experience the best we could've asked for with her personable attitude and professionalism.I can't wait to be back and based off my experience here, I will definitely be checking out the other My Neighbor Felix locations in the near future!

A little pricing for a Springs restaurant. That seems to be the way these days. Service was good. Plates are smaller, needs more sauces for flavor.

The service was great, the drinks are AMAZING!, the food is hit or miss. I got the birria taco and they were good but the Mexican fried rice that came with it had no flavor. The goddess bowl was a bit bland but the added shrimp helped a bit. I love the decor, the vibe, and the staff is really nice, I'll definitely be back for drinks.

Some of the slowest service I have ever had. There were 2 of us and it was over an hour for our meal, and about 30 minutes of that was waiting for our tacos. Once we got them, they were so cold we had to send them back. The guacamole was lacking in both salt and acidity. Best part of the meal was the beers, and those took at least 20 minutes for the first and about the same amount of time for the second. The server was really friendly, but we barely saw her. It's really loud, but the decor is cute. My tacos were okay once I finally got them. The breakfast potatoes, though, were good.

Clean interior, patio seating, and fun decor. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful! I asked for a drink recommendation and ended up getting watermelon which was great. The chili relleno appetizer was so good-the lime soaked onions set it off. We ordered the mahi mahi, birria and shrimp tacos to share and they were all great. Birria was probably the favorite overall.

Food was insipid, service was ridiculously slow and ambiance was ok.I ordered the "pescado frito" tacos fried mahi mahi, to my surprise it was just a tiny portion of fish no more than 4 tiny cubes just fried with no coating and no marinade.Secondly I tried the short rib tacos that had a little more flavor but still tasted like nothing special.I kept having higher hopes for their desserts, unfortunately it was a total downer: Churros that were as dry as wood sticks and three sauces that were so bland and tasteless.

This place is always a good idea! The atmosphere is super cute and modern. The service has always been exceptional. And the food is AMAZING!The corn ribs are a must, their guac has a kick and is sooo yummy, the salsa trio is a good amount of salsa to split with the table. The margs are amazing! I've had the uptown and watermelon. And the ceviche and the tequila shrimp tacos are 10/10!!! I might have found my new favorite spot!

Good was delicious. Service was fast Decorate is beautiful. Nice breeze with all the windows open.

Pluses: atmosphere is bright and lively with a fun expansive outdoor patio with killer front range views. But then there's the food. Which is kind of why most people come here.The first hint that I was wasting my time were the dry and flavorless store-bought purple tortilla chips. Inexcusable for a Mexican restaurant. Sawdusty and stale.The trio of salsas - verde, roja, and watermelon/jicama - was at least a swing but still a miss. The tequila lime shrimp tacos sounded promising but the shrimp was chewy, overcooked, and the sides were bland and insulting. And then it occurred to me that these folks were practical jokers. Wait. They weren't. They actually wanted me to overpay for some seriously crappy food masquerading as high-dining experience in a posh Northside mall.Joke's on me. Fool me once ...
