The staff were all friendly and attentive. Our hibachi chef David was very personable and had some cool variations on tricks we hadn't seen before! We ordered two lunch entrees and one dinner entree for the grill. The dinner portion is huge and my wife got the chicken and shrimp and it came with 6+ shrimp and 7oz ish of chicken, vegetables and noodles enough for three of us to share. The lunch entree came with the house salad that had a very pleasant dressing that was refreshing, and we all opted for the $3 garlic butter fried rice upgrade which was well worth it!I got the steak and shrimp, which is the NY steak if you don't get any upgrades to filet mignon or American wagyu. David told us you get quality organic American wagyu if you opt for that which piqued our interest for the next time! They were both tasty and well seasoned. My wife wanted less of the sweet hoisin like sauce and I probably wanted less of the salty sauce overall lol! He said he can cook it to how we like so we might request that next time. A bit bonus is the staff seem to be all happy and treated well at the restaurant. Apparently the hibachi chefs are all allowed to cook as they deem fit instead of following a specific recipe, and were tested monthly by cooking for the staff. I would be happy to return again.

Amazing place! We came by for dinner but they also have great lunch specials. The staff was great the entire stay. We did two chicken hibachi dinners and they come with so much food!! We opted for the fried rice upgrade (of course). The soup was good and the salad was amazing. Hibachi comes with rice AND noodles!!

Came on a Sunday afternoon with my son, post the movie theater. Clean quiet spacious and Friendly greeting upon arrival. Service was consistent. Food delish. I ordered chicken and steak hibachi, my son a couple sushi rolls. Two critiques: wine could have been poured a little more heavy for the price. 2: The gentlemen who performed our Hibachi was sadly lack luster. I feel when you come for hibachi experience specifically, it should be consistently entertaining no matter who is your chef. There was another table at the same time as us and their cook was so incredibly animated I caught myself looking over often which made me sad I wasn't at their table lol Anywho, you get my drift.. I'll be back again for sure, but look forward to more enthusiasm

Oh gosh!!!! Louisville is so fortunate to have this in town!!!! The food was dynamite! We enjoyed lobster and chicken, and with the hibachi meal, you get soup, salad, noodles, shrimp, and vegetables, and then whatever grilled meat you would like... It was more than filling... But I have to say that the veggies were my favorite it was filled with carrots, squash, mushrooms, broccoli onions ... I'm not sure what kind of sauce they use to flavor it, but it was so good..."Abi" was our chef, and he was absolutely wonderful... Very quick, and very delicious .... I love that the vents are part of the station and that it's not such a big hood oversight... All in all we will definitely be back.its cozy and lovely to g r this in Louisville

The ambiance of the remodeled Chinese restaurant now the Mt Fuji to be honest is less comfortable and cozy and more like a chain restaurant in any major airport with people coming and going as if they have a plane to catch. The service had their hands full on this Saturday night. That's why the food was less enjoyable than it might have been. As other reviewers said, the place is divided in half with the chefs entertaining and cooking at the tables and the other half? The decor changes dramatically. On one side it feels intimate as the lights are low and the chef is highlighted as he chops the shrimp. People are having a loud party over on that side. On the other side is the boring side. No party over here. It has the ambiance of a Denny's. I know, the place is relatively new. I wish them luck.

First thing to know is the restaurant is split in half between the hibachi area and standard table service. Being at the tables is a little odd, as you hear the shouts from hibachi folks enjoying particularly impressive tosses and flames. I do plan to go back to give that a try ... it seems reservations may be helpful. We went on a busy night, so that may have contributed to the many service issues in what ended up being a 1 hour 45 minute dinner -- unexpectedly long considering we ordered only entrees, no appetizers or dessert. We didn't seem to have one server but three who stopped by haphazardly, leaving us for long periods then coming back to back to back. We didn't get the included soup & salad until asking for it when our entrees arrived (but we hadn't seen anyone for 30+ minutes to mention it). We ordered a cold sake, were told it had just been put in the fridge, then saw that exact bottle served to another table across the aisle 15 minutes later -- and this was still well before we had any food, so would have been happy to get it then. As a fitting conclusion, one person brought the check & took our card, then another person brought another copy of the check to pay...The food was solid and a good value. I liked the variety of the "box dinners" including a teriyaki meat, tempura veggies, and a California roll. It's kind of hard to stand out on food alone as there are several great sushi and a variety of Asian restaurants in the area, so this is a good packaging.

I truly enjoyed my lunch at Mt Fuji last week. Ambiance: very good. Service: prompt, attentive, and unobtrusive. Food: exceptional. My lunch companion and I had one of the box lunches. It definitely wasn't like one my mom used to pack. This one had an array of good things. a spring roll, tasty fried rice, a lettuce salad, a wonderful fried chicken cutlet, a small piece of sushi, and a couple of tasty things I don't know the name for. A filling, satisfying, and inviting lunch for a totally reasonable price. I can't wait to go back.

This was my first hibachi experience in the US and it was definitely a good time. We started off with the hibachi soup and salad. I have never been very big on Asian style soups, so take this with a grain of salt, but I wasn't too big of a fan of it. It tasted how funions smell. That being said, everyone else in my party finished theirs, so that is likely just my tastebuds. The salad was tasty and had a nice dress on it. After that, we were introduced to the person who would be grilling our food. He was very nice and offered all of the adults some saki shots from a squirt bottle (included in the price) and the non alcoholic drinkers a pink lemonade. He was very pleasant and talkative and did the show off stuff the I'm sure if you've had hibachi before, you know exactly what I am talking about. It was a nice time, and he began grilling our food in the order we had asked him to fue to several food allergies at the table. He was more than happy to oblige and service wise, this was a great experience. The main course, which I ordered the filet mignon meal, was ok. Nothing crazy or bold but flavors that were somewhat forgettable. It was still a nice time, the restaurant was spacious and the staff were great. I'd give this place a shot if you're looking for a hibachi near you
