I have been to Moose Hill in the past at the Colfax location and the one that closed on Kipling. I was never really a fan but things change so I decided to give it another try today and while it's not my favorite, some aspects were very good. The gentleman who seated me and waited on me was very attentive without being smothering, he did a great job. The decor is very dated and could use a makeover but the dining area appeared clean. The menu is large and I ordered a combo to give several things a try. I was greeted with a bag of chips, salsa, Mexican slaw and corn salsa. I didn't really need all that but other customers may think it's great. I was not crazy about the chunky tomato salsa but others may like it. I would have preferred a thick and spicy salsa to put on top of my taco.The food arrived hot, on a hot plate. I had a beef enchilada that did not come topped with onions which I always expect. The enchilada and beef burrito were good and the beef taco was very good! Great corn shell. I was not a fan of the rice (I don't like a heavy tomato based rice) and the beans were "Meh" just beans. I gave 4 stars because the service was good and while the food was not my favorite, they did good job with preparation and presentation. Make sense? I would not hesitate to eat here again even though it would not be my first choice.Bottom line, I believe this place needs a makeover (decor, atmosphere, menu, etc.) I hope Moose Hill can stay relevant in 2025 and attract new customers and add to their customer base developed over the years.

I have LOVED Moosehill Cantina since I was in high school. The food is always on point! They have some of the best chili rellenos and green chile in Colorado! On my most recent visit I finally tried Moose milk with espresso and omg it was so good! Can't wait to come back again, FOR REAL!!

So happy that we tried Moose Hill Cantina!This restaurant was recommended in the vegan Colorado Facebook group because of all the vegan options, and it didn't disappoint.The restaurant is an adorable little spot decorated really cozy with a patio out front. The staff is warm and welcoming, and so helpful.We were shocked at all of the options that can be made vegan - they have impossible meat and vegan cheese (the vegan cheese is not listed on the menu) and are willing to make most things vegan!It was SO good. I got the chimichanga with impossible meat, vegan cheese and their vegan green chili. My husband and son had a smothered burritos with impossible meat and vegan cheese. All of us left so full and happy!I love the touch of serving onions and corn with the delicious chips and salsa as soon as you sit down.We will definitely be back :)

Still one of my favorite places for vegetarian options including amazing vegetarian green chile. The menu is extensive whether you are a carnivore or herbivore and the drink menu and flavors follow suit. I've yet to try it but, they do offer one of my favorites as an option for a margarita - huckleberry! No one seems to know the beautify of this flavor so, I am excited to see it on the menu and will try on a future visit. Service has always been top notch. Prior to, during, and after pandemic- I visited many times and have always had a fantastic experience. Seating is diner style with booths and some tables, clean and tasteful decor and clean bathrooms. The complimentary chips are delicious - always warm and nicely salty served with side cups of salsa, cabbage slaw, and corn salad - so fresh and a great compliment to the chips. Prices are very reasonable and portions are massive (for me) so, I always end up with leftovers for a second meal making the value even better. Come give it a try and be sure to take a quart of green Chile home with you!

Queso is delicious, Jalapeno poppers, Hawaiian Quesadilla - Pork and pineapple, tortilla with white cheese, New Mexico Enchiladas -Green chile, Monterey Jack cheese & green chile strips, Guacamole. I want take a moment and thank Moosehill Cantina and Catering! We held my nieces college graduation celebration yesterday and Mandi the owner went above & beyond! The food was delicious, hot, seasoned and was loved by all our guests! We've been going to Moose Hill Cantina for years so it was no surprise but this was our first catering order with them & we will definitely be back! Mandi- THANK YOU!
