Mono Mono Korean Fried Chicken

Fun Fact: "Korean-style fried chicken uses an Asian frying technique that renders out the fat in the skin, transforming it into a thin, crackly and almost transparent crust." (monomonokfc.com) Over the last few years, I've become a huge fan of *this* KFC (sorry, Colonel), and Mono Mono, with six Colorado locations, enjoys a spot on my list of favorite places. The Centennial location is all set for pick up. They have limited seating, but the food travels well. Check out:* Chicken Tenders~it took forever for these crunchy beauties to cool down so I could pick one up for the photo! Big on flavor and literally big, this is KFC in its purest form. Teryaki Soy Wings~a flavor I hadn't tried before and just as good as my other favorites. Dumplings~I love all dumplings and these housemade pork and veggie ones tantalize taste buds.

Tuesday 10/3Was looking forward to trying this new restaurant, we placed an order online, paid for it, and the food was supposed to be ready at 6:45 . We arrived at the restaurant at 6:40 to find the doors locked.It's a Tuesday night, the restaurant is supposed to be open until 9 o'clock, no phone calls were answered. Nobody came to the door when we knocked. No note of apology taped to the door.Contacting credit card company to have the charge reversed but seriously folks, this is inexplicable, a company spends all this money opening a restaurant, training staff and advertising for clients and they can't even make it to first base by staying open and filling orders - we have no idea if the foods good...probably never will.

Quite the spread! We got the combo to be able to try a bit more. The secret sauce chicken was our favorite. It has a great sweet and spicy flavor. The fries are also delicious with the seasoning. Will definitely be back to try more of their appetizer type dishes, the hot dogs, and the mochi donuts! Have a little bit of everything. The food was cooked fresh as well. There's only about 4 seats inside and outside has a couple tables so could be a good takeout option. Will be back!

This place is a joke. Overpriced and sloppy hi carb foods. So un Korean to me it's laughable. Prices are crazy and I would bet it was opened by some relation(kids) of Seoul bbq who think they have discovered a new twist in food. It's all deep fried high carb garbage. Save your money and time and avoid this place unless you want a heart attack

The food was fresh, hot, and good portion sizes. Flavors were not my thing. Wings were a little skimpy on the meat but the food was piping hot & fresh. The fries were better than the wings imo. Very friendly team. A solid C in my book.

I decided to eat here on a whim and was shocked at how expensive the prices were for such tiny portions of fried chicken. The dumplings were rock hard, the chicken was okay but was 13 bucks for just six wings. And I was excited to try the mochi donuts but they were not fresh and hard. Wont go back unfortunately. :(

Too pricey, for what you get. I would rcommend wing wok and bob and gogi over this place. Food isn't bad though.

Pretty good wings. We liked the teriyaki soy. Fried drumsticks were very crispy, but also very salty. Fried Brussels sprouts were excellent! Buns with fried chicken, also excellent! I'd pass on the dumplings, not great.
