So glad we finally got to try the brand new Mikaku Ramen in Aurora! The inside of the restaurant is so beautiful, the staff were prompt and kind, the food was very tasty. We ordered shoyu tonkotsku and chicken katsu curry which were both very tasty. I really enjoyed the flavor and cook on chashu, it was fatty but rendered and so tasty. The marinated egg was perfect. My only item that could have been better was the noodles themselves. I like a thicker noodle with a bit more bit to it. Overall a really great experience and will be happy to be back again soon.PS loved the pokemon machines and luck was in my favor to get the cute sleeping Eevee

Mikaku Ramen & Temaki has a cozy, vibrant, casual atmosphere with a modern touch. The location is convenient and the interior is inviting. When we visited, the restaurant was much busier than usual and it seemed like the staff was caught off guard. Because of that, service was a bit slow, but they were friendly and doing their best.We ordered the shoyu tonkotsu ramen and chicken katsu curry rice bowl. Both were good but not outstanding. The Shoyu Ramen featured freshly made noodles, tender pork and a good broth but unfortunately, the broth wasn't piping hot so it cooled down rather quickly. The chicken katsu was crispy but the chicken itself was on the thin side and not as juicy as I had hoped. The curry sauce, however, was good. The portion sizes could be improved and considering the servings, some may find the value a bit lacking. It was quite a drive for us to get there, and while the food was enjoyable, the serving size and quality of the food could be improved. If you're in the area, Mikaku Ramen & Temaki is worth a visit but it may not warrant a special trip from afar.

The food tastes good and what I'm going to start to expect for ramen restuarants from now on in Colorado now as standard now that there's so many of them here. The amount of food you get is worth the price for the ramen. I got the Shoyu Tonkatsu, the toppings, broth to ramen ratio was just right and the ramen noodle were springy and chewy which is great. The pork topping was soft and flavorful. They also had a good selection of table oils that you could use on your ramen for free.I tried some of my friend's Beef Bone Ramen, but it didn't fit my pallete since the broth was more in the sweeter side. They also have a promotion going on where if you have "Winner Winner" at the bottom of your bowl, your ramen will be on the house. The karaage is also worth the price since it tastes and looks like it was breaded in shop instead of from a frozen bag. The salmon temaki was a bit of a let down, but honestly I didn't know what to expect when I was getting it. The size was small and the wasabi didn't have that kick that I like. If I had known I would've just gotten a normal appetizer.Service staff were kind and what I expect from a restaurant.I recommend trying out this place.

This place was great! We didnt make any reservations, but were seated pretty quickly, only about a minute or two. The service was awesome, very quick and frequently checking in on us. We ordered the scallop temaki and bang bang shrimp to start. The scallops had a great crunchy texture and was full of flavor. The bang bang shrimp had a great sauce to pair it with. For an entree we ordered the spicy shoyu tonkatsu and the spicy miso. Both ramens had delicious toppings that paired nicely with the broth. The noodles were perfect and made in house. The only thing we would've changed was the ramen could have been spicier, but the chili oil at each table easily fixed it. The ambience of the restaurant was perfect for a date night or a birthday celebration. 10/10 would come back to try the other items on the menu!

Mikaku Ramen has arrived, adding to the impressive lineup from One Concept Restaurant Group, known for several standout Asian eateries in the Denver metro area. Finding great ramen in Colorado isn't easy, so I was excited to try Mikaku during their soft opening. Overall, it was a decent experience with plenty of potential. I do wish they had more traditional options like a simple shoyu ramen, but I opted for the spicy miso. It came with an aji tamago (soy sauce egg), fresh ramen noodles, chopped pork, bamboo shoots, fish cake, and corn. The broth had good flavor but lacked the depth I was hoping for, and while it wasn't piping hot, it wasn't lukewarm either. The standout for me was the noodles--perfectly al dente with a great chew and bounce. Service was on the slower side, but that's understandable for a new spot still working out the kinks. I think they have a lot of promise, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they refine their flavors and service over time. Definitely worth a try!

Freshly pulled noodles make app the difference. The broth was full of flavor without being cloying if that makes sense. I've had other broth where good as it was, I could only take a few spoonfuls without feeling overwhelmed. This I could eat all day! Charsu was nice and meaty and flavorful. Yum!! Vibe was very Asian casual modern. Anime style music playing in the background. Hope they stick with level ingredients post opening time frame. Will definitely be back.

Finally found a ramen place that reminded me of the taste of the old style ramen shops in Japan. The recently opened Mikaku Ramen & Temaki was a notch above most of the ramen places I tried in town in terms of taste, ambience and service. They made the noodles and broth in house daily. Heard they prepared the broth in professional pressure cooker for several hours to bring out the same taste and consistency as the broth that took way longer to prepare. Ordered shoyu tonkotsu ramen, unagi don, blue crab temaki, ikayaki, pork belly bun and bangbang shrimps. The noodles for the shoyu tonkotsu ramen were al dente and chewy while the broth was rich and creamy. Found the texture and taste of the rice in the unagi don and temaki better than many other sushi places , as instead of using commercial rice cooker, they used the small rice cooker to prepare the rice to better control the temperature, moisture, texture and aroma. The squid of the ikayaki and eels of the unagi don were both smoke grilled and matched perfectly with their respective house sauces. The pork belly in the bun was tender, juicy but not greasy. The bangbang shrimps dipped in the spicy pomelo honey cream sauce were crunchy, succulent and tasty. Highly recommended and certainly will come here often.

The service was little slow but the ramen was excellent. I also ordered the spice tuna hand roll and that isn't worth the price.
