I'm so excited that they moved to a bigger location!!! The new location is a few blocks down from the old spot, and has lots of parking outside. I love that fact that while their seating may have increased, the welcoming and courteous service, and ethnic ambiance is ever the same. From the homemade hummus and pita breads to the flavorful and juicy kebabs, I have yet to try an item that was underwhelming. Most dishes are accompanied by rice & salad, and serving sizes are decently huge. During my recent visit, I also tried the Turkish coffee and the original baklava - a perfect palette cleanser after a delicious lunch. If you're in the mood for some flavorful and budget-friendly middle eastern cuisine, do yourself a favor and visit Damascus cuisine; and thank me later.

The food here is always incredible. The hummus and chicken shawarma are authentic and delicious. Definitely the best place to eat in Castle Rock!We pined away for their delicious cooking for months while they transitioned to a more spacious location. Now we can spend a nice day at the library and then stroll next door for some mouth watering comfort food.Lastly, the owner is a genuinely lovely person. Can't go wrong ordering from here!

Incredible food and friendly service! Also very vegan/vegetarian friendly and decent prices. We got the pie sampler, dip sampler, grape leaves, and falafel platter - would recommend any and all of these!

While I may not be qualified to judge the authenticity of the cuisine, the Chicken Kabob plate was incredible. The chicken was soft, tender, and well-seasoned, and I enjoyed the sides of salad, rice, and hummus. Truly a Castle Rock gem.

Our third time to get food from here, second time to eat inside. I'm not really sure how long this location will be here. They said they were closing down a few months ago, but they're still here and apparently have extended their lease.I'm also not sure if they focus more on dine in vs. carry out. Perhaps both. Perhaps neither. You order at the counter and then wait for your food. Some wait inside, while others wait in their cars. Drinks are by the can, so there are no refills, and while there are tables to sit at to eat, everything is served in to-go styrofoam containers. We ordered what we've gotten before -- I got the meat combo, and my wife got the lamb and beef shawarma plate -- and then we took a table for our 15-min wait. Our two cans of Diet Coke arrived soon after we did. At some point we were presented with a gyro sandwich, which wasn't ours, and then it was whisked away soon thereafter to be deposited on another table and waiting customer nearby. A little while later, my wife's shawarma showed up, and she started on it while I waited for my dish. She liked hers again, but the piece of beef I tasted seemed a bit tough to me. I continued waiting for my food, and several minutes later, a guy came from the kitchen, saw I was waiting, and did an about face back into the kitchen. Right after, another guy came out with my food. The meat combo is very good, and while both the chicken and kafta were delicious as usual, I thought the steak was better than it was last time. My wife liked the kafta and chicken the best but wasn't impressed with the steak. The rice, which has been fantastic on previous visits, was a little tasteless and disappointing on this visit. I thought the hummus was fine but a little looser than I prefer. We'll continue to keep an eye on Damascus to see how long they stick around. Knowing there is so little good Mediterranean food in Castle Rock, we'll go again the next time we're in the mood and nearby. Whether we dine in or carry out remains to be seen.

Just a little place next to Castle Rock; not much for ambiance but the food is good. The meat platter was really good- except the Kofta (which as overcooked). The other two kebabs were cooked perfectly and delicious. The rice was really good and I liked the salad & hummus. The other thing I liked was the sauces they brought with the plate, they added flavor. You order at the front of the restaurant when you walk in and they bring you your food. We had to wait about 25 minutes for our food to come, so it takes awhile.Overall I was impressed, the food quality is significantly better than most Middle Eastern places I've tried. Ultimately I would recommend this as a place to go for foodies. Happy eating!!

I was passing through Castle Rock today around lunchtime and Yelp pointed me to this place via great reviews. The reviews were spot on. We were greeted by an incredibly friendly woman the second we walked through the door. She pointed us towards the menu on the wall and answered all our questions about the menu. I ended up ordering the falafel plate and it ended up being a great choice. The food was fresh, hot and very very authentic. My friend who is from Castle Rock, wanted to order a particular stew that was no longer on the menu. The lady said they took it off the menu as not enough people were ordering it. She offered to make it tonight and have some available for him tomorrow. Wow, what an incredible hospitable and friendly offer to make. The cool thing is that she meant it very sincerely. We enjoyed our meal very much. The place is very small but it's clean and the food is amazing. Try e service is very personable and pleasant. If I pass through this area again, I will gladly stop here again. The locals are lucky to have this incredible restaurant.
