Delicious Mexican that feels the most authentic of anything in Denver. I always order steak fajitas. My husband mixes it up and has gotten burritos, chile relleno, tacos, enchiladas... Chips are good. Salsa is not my favorite. Rice and beans reminds me of home. Go early. Beware: if you order a beef taco, it's ground beef, not shredded.

Los Dos is always reliable for good food, good service, and great drinks! Shared queso and barbacoa tacos with my husband and he was amazed how good the barbacoa is. A little on the spicy side, so if you hate spice find something else. Queso is always amazing. We arrived at 4:15p and there was no wait and room to sit at a high top in the bar area which is always my preferred!

Wow!! We've lived in this area for 4 years, and we can't believe this is the first time trying this place. We arrived around 4:50 on a Friday night, and it was already so busy! Luckily we were able to get seated right away - 2 adults + 1 high chair for baby. Not that I don't like company, but I've learned the smaller the group, the faster you'll be seated. Within 5 minutes of being seated, the waitress brought out fresh chips and salsa - my all time weakness!! The spicy salsa was so good! I believe every restaurant should have an immediate mini appetizer served right away especially for those of us who get hangry fast (me) and people who have to deal with it (my husband). My husband and I viewed the menu in advance (because who doesn't haha) and we knew exactly what we were going to order. He ordered the chamorro (pork hock) entree, and he loved it! He's not the biggest fan of Mexican food, but he truly enjoyed this one. The flavor was there, the pork fell off the bones, and he finished his plate clean. I ordered the carnitas since they only serve this on the weekend so I figured it'd be a special dish and it was! I don't know how you turn something so basic into something so good but the combination of everything on the plate fit perfectly together - rice, beans, pico, guacamole, carnitas + their homemade tortillas (made fresh right by the front of the door to the left as you enter). Even my 14 month old son gave us a thumbs up for the beans he had! Can't wait to go back to try the other items on the menu! The menudo and fajitas will be next!

Have been here several times before and I never leave disappointed. I always order the chili rellenos appetizer- but fun twist- I add carne asada to top it off. Yum! Chips and salsa are always good as well as their margaritas. Servers are always kind and check on you frequently. Good place! Glad they are expanding the chain across the metro area so many more can give it a try!

My partner and I visited our family out here, we came for dinner and as soon as we entered I could hear the live Mariachi, which I thought was a nice touch! Considering we came in on Thursday night! I loved the ascetic of the place, looked so authentic down to the ladies making handmade tortillas, I was impressed! I actually ordered the tacos because I wanted to try the tortillas, I ordered ,1 chicken , 1 beef , and 2 Pastor. The pastor was really dry and I did not enjoy. The chicken and beef were delicious! I also deducted a star because of the presentation of the food, honestly this is a pretty important part for me. I was disappointed. My plate looked very scattered and like everything was thrown together so quickly that this was over looked.

My boyfriend has been talking about this food ever since we left. He absolutely loved the chips and salsa and how spicy the salsa was!The two chicken dishes that we ordered were both amazing! Lots of flavor with the green chili, a gut amount of spice, and a lot of food for what you get!

Do you ever go to a restaurant that just blows you away, then you tell your friends how great it is, then you take them there and it's just meh? Well, that's my take on Los Dos Patrillos. When we arrived, we weren't even greeted. It seemed like we were inconveniencing the host. I had the ceviche. It was just one kind of whitefish and nothing else. It seemed cooked, not marinated. What kinda' ceviche is that?My friend had enchiladas. He said they were OK. I had a bit, yeah, just OK. Here's where it gets really bad. We had some sopapilla bites for dessert. When pouring honey for my 94-year-old dad the top popped off the honey bottle and honey was everywhere. Our server was nowhere to be found and rarely came by anyway. I had to flag a different server to get us some napkins. When our server came and I told her what happened she just said sorry, but made no efforts to make amends or even help wipe up the honey spilled all over the table. I asked for the manager, after about ten minutes he came to the table, offered no apology, threw our ticket in the honey and took the price of the sopapilla from our bill. He was pretty rude about it, never even looking at us or speaking to us. I used to call this the best Mexican restaurant in the Denver area. I wouldn't come back here even if the food was the best in the world. I can't stand when someone disrespects my 94 year old dad like that. You want more? The friend I took thought he might have left his cell phone there. He called to see if anyone had turned in a phone and the manager he spoke with quickly said, "no." My friend went back to the restaurant and asked in person if they had found a phone. They showed him their lost and found and his cell phone was there! Unbelievable! Los Dos Patrillos now has dos less customers and I now give it dos stars.

Last review was 4 years ago. Happy to say it's still consistently good. Lucky to have visited on a Friday so I could have their carnitas. Their homemade tortillas are wonderful added touch. I also really enjoy their skinny margarita. Service is always fast and friendly. Go early as they get busy fast. Can be a little noisy, but the bar and restaurant have a good high energy feel.

There are a few Los Dos Potrillos restaurants in the Denver and surrounding area. This one is on the far southeast side. They offer authentic Mexican cuisine and pretty much nothing on the menu disappoints. The vibrant and welcoming atmosphere makes it a great spot for casual dining and based on some of the groups I've seen dining here) special occasions.Food: The menu is extensive, featuring everything from tacos and fajitas to burritos and quesadillas. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are rich and authentic. I love the homemade flour tortillas and the slightly hot salsa, and if you like margaritas, try their house pomegranate flavor version because it's got a unique tasty balance.Service: Based on my own experience and observations, I find the staff to be friendly and attentive. I leave having had a pleasant dining experience. They hustle providing prompt and efficient service even during busy hours.Ambiance: The place is lively and warm with a colorful decor.Overall: If you happen to be in the Denver area, this is a great choice when you need for Mexican food fix. Lots of parking so no worries there.
