I only had 30 minutes until my movie started and I needed a quick bite. I'm glad this establishment was in the eatery close by. Less than 5 minutes walking distance from the theater. The employee behind the counter was very courteous and got the food out in 5 minutes. So it gave me time to also have a beer. The empanadas were very tasty. I ordered the beef and a steak.

Stopped by on a lazy Sunday afternoon to try this place out. Tried the three chicken empanadas - spicy chicken, chicken caprese and BBQ chicken. And the 2 veggie options - mushroom and spinach & cheese. They came out piping hot - and this isn't an exaggeration! Be careful when you bite into them, the melted cheese and the sauces get really hot so just let them cool just a bit before you eat them. Our favorites were the spicy chicken, mushroom and the bbq chicken filled ones.

Honestly, the food was very underwhelming. I was so excited to try this place because of all the positive reviews, but it didn't live up to my expectations. I ordered the steak quesadilla and the chorizo. I didn't get the chorizo like I ordered. Instead, I was given what I believe to be a chicken empanada. I'm happy for those who really love this place, though!

This was the second stop on our food tour and I was stoked to find out we were getting Argentinian empanadas. They're baked, not fried, and these were flaky, stuffed full of beef, and served with a side of chimichurri that was so good I could have drank it straight. The one empanada we each got was a great size for a taste but if I wanted to get full off them I'd probably order 3-4. Cute little restaurant with friendly staff but the food is to die for.

Grabbed a quick bite before a movie. Scanning around the food hall, the empanadas looked good. We ordered 4 between us. Carne asada, steak, spinach and mushroom. I didn't have any expectations but wow were these terrific. Such a perfect crispy shell and delicious fillings. Two empanadas each was the perfect snack. I had no idea this food hall was even here. I would definitely come back to try the other empanadas on the menu. Great stuff!

This place is amazing! I was looking for something close to work and found this place. I just went with what was suggested and all three were really good. The seasoning was on point and they all had very different flavors but excellent in their own ways. I will be back. My only compliant is it was a little pricy for 3 empeñadas and a drink ($16). Worth the price for the flavor in my opinion

Stopped into Junction Food Hall for a snack and Lazo Empanadas absolutely hit the spot! Not sure how long they've been open, but this was my first time trying Lazo and I am a fan!Their crust is a little bit different from other empanadas I've tried in town in that it's crispy and flaky - a thinner crust that really lets the filling shine. They have about a dozen different flavors and they recommend 3 per person. Also if you purchase 3, you get a sauce for free! I ordered the Steak Quesadilla, Chorizo, Cheese, and Egg and Spinach and Cheese. All three were delicious - all flavors and fillings very different and distinct. I chose the green avocado sauce for my freebie, but my friend chose the chimichurri which was the fave. If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend their homemade Dulce de Leche Alfajor or even the imported chocolate covered alfajor - sweet tooth thoroughly fulfilled.Junction is a great spot for this little shop. Service was fantastic - friendly and informative and these empanadas are the perfect little snack.

My spouse and I lived in Denver, CO for eight months. We planned to frequent many eateries, but once we discovered "Lazo Empanadas," we kept going to them! We gave them all of our "eating out budget" and it was worth every bite! Soooo delicious every time!! Our favorite savory empanada was steak! And if you like desserts, I would suggest trying the banana-nutella empanada. Yum yum! ¡Buen Provecho! Smacznego! (Good eatings! in Spanish & Polish)

Love stopping in here for empanadas while downtown or even better, taking them home frozen in bulk. Prices are reasonable and they always are delicious! Located right downtown, it's an easy pop in for a scrumptious treat in many flavors! You order them individually so trying multiple flavors at once is as simple as can be!
