Don't let the the area deter you from coming here or your inability to speak Spanish. They do speak English here and if you do not know what a Tortuga is then definitely try this place.I got the abandonada and there was so much meat on it I was nearly full with just half of it.I am definitely going to try this place again when I get a chance.

Great place for tortas. Every torta comes with beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Large menu, and the tortas are freshly made and nice and hot. A little pricey, but pretty large portions. I will say that it does need some much needed cleaning, but food is tasty regardless.

I got a 20 ounce horchata for $1.99! Great deal though their horchata isn't my favorite. It's extra creamy, sweet and milky which I am not used to. I prefer the more watery horchata. The worker there was super friendly and helpful as he could tell that it was my first time there. I tried the four ingredient torta for $7.99 called chalinga with steak, onions, chipotle sauce, franks, tomatoes and avocado. I loved the torta bread and how it was wide, flat and rectangular. There's communal table seating inside with high chairs. Tortas are served on plastic frisbee-like plates. My friends also enjoyed their chicken and egg torta called Chiva. You can get jalapeño rather than chipotle sauce if you prefer.

I'll start by saying good sandwich. Seemed a little overpriced and the service was lackluster. While it's not my favorite torta spot in the Denver area, it was good. Similar to some other reviews the customer service left something to be desired. The young lady behind the register was texting while I was placing my order, which meant I had to repeat my order to her an additional two times. Then, even though the place was basically empty it took a good 15 minutes to get my sandwich done. The cook and another fella were having a spirited discussion which I think added to the time it took to prepare my food. I was in no rush, and even if I was, I wouldn't complain because, ya know, I'm a coward when it comes to stuff like that. I'd give the sandwich itself four stars, but the overall experience three. I will go back because I love little neighborhood spots like this and I hope it's a little better than the first time because this place has the potential to make me a "regular."

Yo compre 3 tortas el miércoles en la noche una de jamon para mi hija una de asada para mi esposa y una norteña para mi amanecí con un dolor de panza horrible mi hija por la tarde vomito mucho mi esposa en la noche no aguantaba la panza horrible experiencia yo les recomiendo que no compren hay no se que clase de comida usen pero tengan cuidado.
