Lakeview Lounge

Lakeview Lounge is located in the hot and thriving Sloan's Lake area where there has been major gentrification and developments. But don't let that fool you, Lakeview Lounge is a true dive bar. Just like I like it. They have everything you typically look for in a dive bar: cheap drinks, dark atmosphere, 2 pool tables, an old school juke box, and a chill atmosphere. There is also a large parking lot but if that's full, there is plenty of street parking around there. Do keep in mind they are a cash only bar! They do have an ATM but who wants to pay ATM fees...

SEP2024Cool little spot to land for a view and people watching. The bartender was chill and helpful with any questions. They had a taco truck also in the parking lot but we had plans for food with friends already as it was.We were able to grab a few drinks to start the day and banter with some locals. We also watched many people run around the lake with gusto that we didn't have around that time in the morning. Not on vacation anyway. We'd certainly swing by again for a spell or to end the night if in the area.

The only reason I come here is because they remain a true dive bar, no yuppies please. Lakeview never sell out

WARNING: This establishment denies indoor seating to patrons with a service dog. They attempt to force them to sit outside by saying they are not denying service, they are offering service...outside only. 100% illegal. 100% against ADA regulations. And to top things off, there are multiple photos on Yelp and Google of dogs, PETS (not service dogs) INSIDE. Very disappointing....and did mention, illegal?

Everyone needs a reliable dive bar in their lives.At least, that's my opinion, man.Since I moved to Denver last year, I've driven by Lakeview Lounge at least 50 times. Joking around, we've said in conversations that we have to go here at least once. For goodness sake, they open at 7am every day!With the impending quarantine on the horizon and a good friend in town who loves dive bars, the boys decided to end the night here. You either get it or you don't. That's really what dives are all about. Drafts of Coors Banquet at $3.50, served in a giant glass. At least 20 ounces! Jukebox playing classic Beatles rarities, Dire Straits, and The Doors. Old leather booths (with a few rips and tears) that make you feel like the king and queen you really are. Two female bartenders hustling all night. Pouring drinks, bussing tables, washing glasses, etc. Neon and vintage signage throughout the entire bar. Bathrooms are cramped and could use a remodel. In my opinion, Lakeview Lounge is a semi-magical place. And as the name suggests, the patio boasts a fine view of Sloan's Lake. It's not for everyone, and that's damn okay.

I love a good dive bar, but this cash only spot is trash. I've been here multiple times wanting to like this place but multiple times I've had bad service or weird/bad customer interactions. If you enjoy a dive check it out, a lot of people seem to like it, but this place sucks in my opinion...

Good place to snag a beer and a great spot to play pool and catch vibes. Cash only, don't forget that part. Nice sloans lake local ish vibe (lol). Colors aren't allowed. Wish they put a sign up or something to let people know though.

The Coors is as cold as the mountains on the can. The juke box plays gordon lightfoot. The chimichangas hit just right and the vibes are unbeatable. Bring your cash

Servers and patrons were all rude and complete assholes to everyone. Tried to watch an early football game and got kicked out for accidentally walking partially in front of a TV a couple times. All apologies, moved right away, yet pitcher taken and kicked out when I walked in front of the TV again for all of 2 seconds. The regulars also threatened us and wanted to fight outside because of this. Honestly it was insane and kind of funny in hindsight, but my god. Move your damn TV higher so this isn't an issue!! Absolute idiots and assholes in this run down shit hole. Will never be back.
