Lake Avenue Inn

Food is impressive. Green chili, street tacos, carne asada burrito....all great. Recommend to anyone that likes good Mexican food.

We took a group here and they were FABULOUS! The staff were great... the kitchen was quick... and the food was GREAT!! Give this place a try!

The food is absolutely amazing here! Just a fun neighborhood bar. People are great and everything is reasonably priced! We love going to the Lake!

My wife and I were there tonight just trying to relax and have a cocktail together. The bar was not crowded at all, but the few that were there started making major inappropriate homophobic jokes. They were very loud and in general rude and disgusting. The worst part was that the bartenders and cook at no point asked these people to stop, even at times laughed with them. I am a straight male and found this very disturbing to be occurring in such a normally recommended place for a relaxing time. We will never be back and I recommend anyone with a decent heart to not go here. 0 stars if it was possible.

My husband and I have stopped in here from time to time on a Friday night and sometimes during a football game or two. This is a special little neighborhood bar, and they have live music most weekend nights. What makes the Lake Avenue Inn stand out is the service. As others have mentioned, everyone is really friendly and even on extremely busy nights, you get quick service. Andrea, who works behind the bar on Fridays, is one of the best bartenders in the Denver area by far. She is always quick to come over and say hi, see how you are doing, and get your drink quickly even on the most busiest of nights. Nice local crowd and fun bands. Happy Hour on Fridays is from 3-8 pm with buy one get one drafts and wells. Great time all around.

We love this place!! We can walk to it! The drink specials are great, the staff is quick to get to know you. It is a DIVE Bar so if you want something posh and hip, this is not the place for you! But if you want a place that can cook some killer food for the regulars and that has a horse tie up out front that you have found it!!!They have live music on some nights and a DJ on others. It is all around a laid back fun time!!

Decent little watering hole. Nothing special but not bad either. Friendly, talkative people during my visit. Bartender nice too.

If you are looking for a dive bar in the Eastlake area...you've found your place. The first tip off is the sign threatening people who fight that they prosecute...a perfect way to set the ambiance. The trough urinal in the mens room is another nice touch...Service, though, was friendly and quick with a refill...which is great for those of us with a thirst. That said, the bar was sticky, and the overall cleanliness of the place won't win awards, for those who care about such things. It's a neighborhood bar and your expectations should be set as such...with those in mind, it's ok...

Checked the hours open until 2am showed up at 11:56pm Bartender said she called last call twenty minutes ago. She would not take our order and I asked does that mean we cannot order in which else replied I'm taking care of my customers that have been here all night I called last call t entry minutes ago were closing. As she continues to serve the other patrons. This is not acceptable since we were responsible and got a Lyft there 17.00 and a Lyft home 19.00. Waste of money. Horrible service! No service actually. If you're not going to be open until 2am then you should not advertise that you do! Wasted $26.00 just so I can post reviews all over for ya! Not to mention it smells so bad like sewer, there's no ice melt outside it's very icy.

Best bar in Colorado hands down!! Service is awesome and the regulars who hang out here are some the best people in the world! Also best food ever especially the f'n corn dogs!!! J.J.'s kitchen produces some great food!!
