Food was good and service was beyond perfect. They serve chips and salsa complimentary. Ample parking. Views are breathtaking. We visited at night so didn't get to see much, prefer a bit of daylight if you wanna get good views.Couple of things for Vegetarian1. Their rice has chicken so if you are vegetarian, don't eat their rice2. Their beans are cooked in pork broth so order food with black beans. 3. Do check about their preparation if you are vegetarian.

The good. Took my daughter here. It was her first time and we had a chance to sit by the window. It was lunchtime. My daughter ordered the three Taco plate and I ordered the enchilada plate. My daughter had steak and I have brisket. The food and atmosphere was great. The bad. We had a waiter who came and took our order the order arrived. My daughter had one house. Margarita and I had a unsweetened iced tea.We never saw him again until the bill came never once did he ask us if we needed something else or a refill

La Loma has been on my radar for awhile and we finally got the chance to visit the Castle Rock location. The only thing memorable with our experience were the scenic views outside but I wouldn't go back and eat here. I judge a Mexican restaurant by their enchiladas personally and this place gave me some of the worst I've had in a while. Especially the sauce on them, awful. Crunchy taco was just alright, chips and salsa were nothing special and the guacamole was a poor example of what actual guacamole actually tastes like. I saw one of the business owners reply to a review that their guacamole as well as all of their salsas and sauces are made in house daily and that they have first priority with their premier food vendor on avocados giving them some of the best produce in the state. Sure didn't taste like it, I've had better guacamole from grocery stores. There is no way that's premier or first priority, sorry not sorry to say it. Also my partner barely ate any of her taco salad it was so disappointing. But hey there's plenty of parking in the lot so that's a plus am I right? La Loma just didn't wow me enough to want to go back to try any other menu items or their drinks.Also- if this supposed to be classified as "Tex-Mex" like it is here on Yelp..it is FAR from it. I hope they don't advertise themselves as it either because they definitely missed the mark. 2 stars on the scenic views and the ample parking but that's about it.

A shame really, I believe they have what it takes to do really well here. Pros:1. Cadillac Margaritas are spot on2. Children's menu consisted of enchiladas, taco, burrito and a quesadilla with rice and beans3. Churros and Sopippas* were good and shareable Cons: $14 guacamole and it tastes like Wholly 1. Guacamole, it's not even made in house2. Mixed Fajitas as OK. Could be better, they only come with white onions which aren't even sautéed long enough for flavor. Bell peppers are extraWe came on a Sunday night and they were very busy. Waited the anticipated 50 minutes. Great ambition, amazing views of the Rocky Mountains, sunset pictures are amazing. Family friendly, and loud.

Had lunch at La Loma and overall, the food was decent. The highlight was definitely the Cadillac Margaritas--strong and delicious! A solid spot for a good meal and great drinks. The views are spectacular!

Met up with a friend and decided to eat here. It's pretty inside. Make a reservation because they can get busy. With a reservation we didn't have time to warm ourselves by the warming station in the waiting area. A host walked us back to our table at once. Jordan was our server and he was excellent. Polite, personable and attentive. We both had mimosas but they were meh. The orange juice seemed off in taste. The grilled shrimp salad I had was tasty. The shrimp grilled to perfection and large in size. I loved it. The salad was fine. She had quesadillas which she said were ok. She preferred my salad. We were sat in the enclosed patio. The view was beautiful but the patio could use more heating. It was cold especially with people walking in and out to see the view. I would come again and for a nice occasion. It's pretty and the service was good. However, parking is tough in the shared lot.

Fine Dining Mexican with a View!We arrived around 4 pm without a reservation. We waited 20 minutes to be seated which wasn't bad, but we were originally seated in a back dining room with no one in it. The top reason we chose this restaurant was for the view so we asked to sit in the indoor patio area. The woman seating us seemed annoyed at the request, but she did accommodate, but her demeanor made us feel super awkward. The patio only had a few tables filled at that point in the evening. Our server was amazing!!! I wish I remembered her name because she was so friendly and professional. It really elevated our experience.I ordered the Texas Platter. The entire meal was delicious. The steak was well-seasoned with a good crust. I was skeptical about an egg roll-style chile relleno, but it worked! My husband had the skirt steak fajitas - it was a little odd to have to add peppers for an upcharge to the onions since typically both peppers and onions comes with fajitas, not just onions. The skirt steak wasn't that great. It lacked flavor, and the meat smelled like it wasn't fresh. We live in COS, but if we ever return, I'd get the Texas Platter again and try a different second entree. I definitely recommend coming at sunset!

This is our first time having dinner here it's usually lunch. But the food is always good even the drinks. We went this past Sunday for a company Christmas dinner. The food was excellent as always even the appetizers, salsa and queso's are a must.I had some carnitas tacos which didn't disappoint. Actually all the food we ever had here is delicious. But our server seemed new and inattentive as soon as we got our drinks and food. He never brought anything we asked for twice and had to ask another waitress for water. Other than that we had a great time as always, it's sad that we probably won't be coming back here for dinner because of the sub par service. Lunch seems less busier or maybe it was just because the waiter Jordan was new?

We love this place from the Chile relleno appetizer to the fantastic margaritas, fish tacos, Carne Asada, and the big old shrimp are amazing. Have not had a bad meal here yet and who can argue with the view. Services always been spot on. This is a go to foreign friends and family are in town or to celebrate a birthday or just random date night.

I've been twice now and both times, I left happy and impressed. This last time my coworkers and I sat in the enclosed patio area - with the amazing views. We called ahead and made reservations with this request - likely not absolutely needed, but you know, just in case. Our waiter was great and brought out water, chips and salsa right as we were sitting down. Our party arrived in waves but he didn't mind, he was there, watching in the background. Not too slow, not too fast. Thanks, man. We ordered a variety of things from the tortilla soup to the combo meals. I usually take pics of everything but this time, we got so immersed in work conversation that I forgot. Could have been my ravenous hunger too. Who waits until 1:30 pm to eat? Chips and salsa are great and props to our waiter again, who monitored the chip levels and brought more before we even asked. It's the little things, y'all. I ordered a two item combo - chicken enchilada with green chili sauce and a tostada. They both were great. Something I didn't expect was the shredded chicken enchilada having refried beans mixed in with it. It caught me off guard, was tasty, but I'll likely ask for just the chicken next time, lol. Next time I go, my goal is to sit at the gorgeous bar inside. Def a solid Tex Mex / authentic Mexican spot. And, man, I so wanted to order a margarita - also next on my list!
