La Hoya Mexican Food

It was worth the shot, I got the cactus gordita and the chicarrones gordita. Both were very good with the house made red salsa, it was super spicy!The restaurant itself was very clean and appealing to the eye, music was being played and tv was setup. The service was good, the waiter was nice and informative about the menu. Also the menu is in Spanish and English.Thank you, I will be back!

Small tacos but packed with flavor. Burritos are delicious. Salsas are spicey. I could go everyday

Really great quesa tacos! Consome is flavorful too! Even called to verify a customization, which I greatly appreciate.

Passed this place enough on the way home so I thought I'd give it a try when I seen the "Tamale" sign in front. . . . (OK, Im a sucker for Tamales sometimes)I ordered a doz for $14 something. . When I got them home I was already a tad disappointed considering none of them were the same size. . . After eating a couple, the green chile inside still had that thin layer of skin that needed to be peeled after you roast them, the corn part was a tad on the chewy side, & I just wasn't a huge fan-Although I only tried one thing (after seeing a huge sign they just put out on the street) I doubt if I'm down for another run with all the great places around me to eat-

We just ordered the burrito and ham and cheese quesadilla and I honestly think it's a joke. This is atrocious and tastes like my 4 year old threw it together. Never again.

If I could rate this place a negative 10 I would. I ordered menudo via uber eats. First problem I ordered a side of chips and salsa the chips were burnt and the salsa had so much burnt tomato skin it tasted burnt. Then the menudo. There was no condiments with it (onion, lime, oregano). And the menudo it self had absolutely NO homony. It was a bowl of tripe n red juice. GROSS!! I happened to go back onto uber eats to rate the place and their menu said that the menudo was sold out. This makes me feel like they gave me the bottom scrapings of the pot. I'm super disappointed and will never eat nor send my worst enemies to eat there.

The food was decent, a little different from the usual Mexican restaurants. For instance, enchiladas aren't wrapped in tortillas but it was good.The employees do not speak English so I don't know how they communicate with English speaking customers.I had no language issues as I am bilingual but I can understand how frustrated some English speaking customers would feel.I will give them a second chance as the place was clean, the employees were nice and friendly and the food was good, not great but very good.

1st and foremost let me start off I called this place and let them know this was my 1st time trying them out, and I was interested in the tacos that were on their Billboard outside of the La hoya, Birria tacos . I asked if there aqua fresca was homemade . I can clearly taste and see this is NOT homemade . There is no sign of pulp whatsoever, and I can taste melon syrup and not the actual fruit. 3 tacos plus consume, plus an extra brirria taco and aqua fresca all for $25.86 . It was not good and mostly fat pieces. I called back and told them , 'this meat taste weird and has lots of fat in the tacos,' . She then informed me that they use goat meat . Hmmm, why not tell me this before? She said she could replace it with beef. Yet again why didnt you tell me this before when I told you I was new ? I go back home,sit down to eat again . This time it literally taste like they used "goat meat " again , or the meat is just BAD . I went back requested a refund . She said, "there is nothing wrong with the tacos," I said, " please open up the tacos and see even cheese is MISSING." She opens up the tacos with her bare hands. Picks up what she says is "cheese". Attached I will post a picture. I said , 'these Tacos look nothing like the billboard outside!" She said, ' that's not there tacos on there billboard , someone else's tacos they took a picture of,'I asked for a refund yet again . She said, ' no because she already "remade" once.' I said, "okay please give me a new bag to put my tacos back in, " she said, "I touched them already you want them back ?" I said , "yes." I wanted them back based on principle and I wanted to share with you all the picture as proof.

They got bomb ass burritos If you need something very reasonably priced, extremely delicious and relatively quick then I highly recommend their burritos. Customer service was quick and efficient too!

Trash! Ordered the birria combo because I was homesick & missing Los Angeles. They gave me a mound of "meat", which was mostly gristle & bones with 3 small tortillas + a lime wedge...They then proceeded to charge me $1.50 for sour cream & $1.50 for cheese yet both those portions were the size of a Sacajawea coin. They forgot my drink & when I called the restaurant & asked about it, the lady I spoke to quickly blamed the GrubHub driver! $26 later, I learned my lesson the hard way, don't order from places you don't know!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
