Kona Hawaiian BBQ-Pecos

This place looks great with the new remodel! I ordered the fire chicken plate, came with rice, and macaroni salad. It also had a couple of pieces of broccoli that weren't cooked or steamed so they were a little tough to eat. The dish did come with 2 sauces that were excellent! I also ordered fried dumplings (4pieces) in one order and they were ok.

We stopped by for takeout and had the Hawaiian sampler. Lots of delicious flavors and d a good serving to feed two if you get an appetizer or two to share. The sauces were also fun to try. The soda fountain failed on the lemonade though, basically just water.

Food and service despicable! Lady was very disrespectful because we didn't know what we wanted right away. Asked if shrimp was fried and gave me the dirtiest look. Ordered chicken and it was gross. I got food poisoning and wouldn't recommend this type of pain to my worst enemy. While eating there, the same lady sprayed the table next to us and I got whatever chemicals she sprayed in my food and on my clothes and neck. The same lady who took our order, she was disrespectful to the next group that came in. Other restaurants may be decent but I would stay away from this location. Horrible service and experience.

Sweet and savory Hawaiian BBQ for a good price. Their Hawaiian BBQ mix plate comes with broccoli, cabbage, short ribs, teriyaki chicken, and BBQ beef with rice and Mac salad, great variety in a single plate. I also love their spam musubi and Katsu chicken. Plenty of seating with a beautiful painted mural. They've got great food for a short wait.

Great new place to check out! It is a super casual restaurant where you order at the counter. You can either do take out or sit in their dining area. They have a great menu and it is all reasonably priced. The Kona Fire Chicken was great and I would highly recommend! If you are not a huge fan of macaroni salad, you can order their ahola plate which comes with a side of salad instead!

This place is awesome! The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is really nice and clean fast casual. Definitely will be coming back.

We got the Kalua pork, we asked for them to actually really cook the cabbage (not just steam it but flat top it) so it wasn't half raw and apparently the girl taking our order had no idea how this would be possible, so it wasn't. It was a bit disappointing.

It is always good every time we get Kona! Although I don't love the Mac personally, people in my family do! I would definitely recommend the chicken katsu! It's my favorite. Inside the store is very clean and has a good ambiance. I feel welcome there. Give it a try!

Service was great but can't make up for the poor quality food overall. I'm a Hawaiian BBQ snob I guess, but used to a higher chicken to breading ratio in Katsu (and should be white meat for Katsu as well). Also, both beef dishes were either chewy, fatty or both. Didn't bother trying the Terry chicken since most places outside of HA mess that up. As a positive, the sticky rice and Mac salad were okay. As inconsistent as L&L can be I would recommend that over this place. Plus, no Aloha vibes with Chinese pop music in blast. If dem play good music, maybe I no go see if da food stay bad, yeah.
