I've heard a lot about this place over the years & finally had the chance to try it today for lunch. Walked in with a group - 4 of us for lunch & we're seated right away in a booth. The booth was a little tight but we made it work and looked over the menu. Chips & salsa were brought out immediately the salsa was good & the chips were cold but good . We Started with some queso dip that was good & luckily the queso was hot. I ordered the pollo rellenos with the green chili on the side not smothered. Othered ordered chimichangas & fish tacos. Food came out rather quickly & we dug in. That's when I noticed my food wasn't hot is was kinda warm. Others noticed the same. The rice & beans were bland (luckily I carry a salt packet) so we salted our food- no salt & pepper shakers on the table. Then I tried my pollo rellenos & the tortilla was raw under the initial layer (on both of them!), so I sent them back & just ordered rice & beans. My friends who had chimichangas enjoyed their chimi's well enough (said they were mostly tortilla & bland meat) my friend who had the fish tacos said they were supposed to be blackened & were very under seasoned. Food was paid for, appropriate tips were left but I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

Atmosphere is wonderful. Food needs to be fresh. Some of the items seemed processed or store bought. Drinks were good and reasonable priced.

This place is okay. The food mediocre. I've had better pina colada elsewhere too.....the service was great. Ambiance is nice too--love the decoration and vibe. It's a bit expensive too. Got 2 drinks and 1 entree for $42 bucks.

I've been here a couple times, hoping that it would get better but it's just gotten worse. Mexican rice taste like tomato sauce and yes I know it has tomato sauce in it but it's definitely not suppose to taste like it. The enchiladas I had were ok, I can make them better at home, however I did really like the refried beans. We had the Mexican eggroll appetizer those were really good as well, chips tasted like they were store bought but the salsa was decent. The waitress was ok (can't remember her name) thats how ok she was. The inside was the typical Mexican themed. Being a Mexican i expect more from a Mexican restaurant. Overall in my opinion it's not worth the time and money.

What happened to this place? Used to be so nice and fun to go to. Now the flavors of everything has gone down hill. My daughter's combination plate was sloppy mess that each item was just soggy and uneatable. My taco salad was terrible. The lettuce was soggy from something. And my husband's chicken in his enchiladas didn't taste like chicken. Most likely won't be back.

Passing this place a while back, I knew I had to try it. Finally, months later, I've found my way to Jose O'sheas. The dining rooms remind me of Casa Bonita with all of the different themes and decor. It's so fun and cool! The staff were friendly and I loved the attentive service. Carnitas Chile Verde. A massive portion for only $13 and so good. The carnitas were tender and the special sauce was to die for. Absolutely delicious and a must try on the menu.I'll definitely be back!

I wish this place was closer to our house because we would go a lot more often than we do now. When we lived in Littleton we used to go quite often, but now living in Aurora, it is a trek. But we love their happy hour so much! They offer server yourself chips and salsa. All you can eat for free. They have cheap (under $5) margaritas and $2 crunchy tacos along with other cheap bites. Great small bites to help with all the tequila you are drinking. Lol. The building is pretty big and has tons of seating. Upstairs is the cantina that is great for watching football games. Downstairs has a fun vibe to it with tons of cactus and other plants for decoration. Plenty of places to sit and even good for large groups. The food is always delicious and comes out in large portions piping hot. I love the fajitas and the enchiladas ol'e (trio of enchiladas all different fillings and sauces on top). My husband always gets a giant burrito that he can never finish. Always have leftovers and those taste great too. Overall, this place is a good stop for some tasty Mexican food.

I've been here once when I moved here 5 years ago & I remember how beautiful this place was. So, My choice for lunch today for Cinco Eve was here. The server was attentive, even with having so many people up in the top part. The Piña margarita was great. Food was great. The atmosphere is really gorgeous. Honestly one of the prettiest Mexican restaurants I've been to around Denver. Prices were normal for this quality & atmosphere.

Best Mexican food on this side of town for miles. Is it perfect 100% of the time? No. But I would say it's way more hit than miss. If youre really hungry, get the Nachos. So good and the chips they use for the nachos are mad thick so they stay crunchy (even if you need ti finish them the next day!) I also recomend the rellenos and their World Famous Garbage Burrito! BEST burrito in Lakewood. Whatever you get, order some green chili to go with it! Anyone who disses this place is just tryna be cool.

Really good really fresh food. The choices of sauces were great. I like hot and my husband likes no heat, so to be able to have the same dish with different sauces was great. Portions were huge so great value for the price and bonus meal the next day! Service was attentive and our server was very helpful in explaining the questions we had about the menu since it was our first visit. There were lots of skylights and windows but each seemed to have something blocking the ambient light, so for an early afternoon it was pretty dark in there, that was the only reason it didn't get 5 stars. When we walked in we thought maybe it was closed. His strawberry margarita was amazing. Looked like they used fresh strawberry's rather than mystery purée. Looking forward to going back next time we are in the area.
