Brent (owner) has over the past 7 years, dialed in some amazing dishes. The brisket is moist and the ribs are to die for. The pork was also amazing and the sausage links have perfect snap and thay flavor..... BBQ sauce is not too sweet but at the same time does not have that vinegar back end that some places have.I have not tried them but I hear from reviews and from other patrons at the place that their chicken wings are just excellent and I look forward to trying them on our next visit. According to the owner they have a wings special every Wednesday so give this place a try... the fish and seafood options are excellent as well as we have tried them in a previous visit but the star here is the BBQ. Fries are great and the broccoli is buttery and crisp. Oh... and the pico is freshly made and you can tell this guy cares about quality execution. Service could be better and that is the only negative thing I have to say but I also realize how difficult it is to get good heads up staff these days. Go try this place out.. be patient and you will not be disappointed.

This was a surprisingly find . It's like 2 mins from my apartment. Laid back atmosphere and amazing food. I absolutely love the Hawaiian pork sandwich soooo good. I definitely found a gem that I will become a regular at .

Recommended by a friend we came as always with open minds and stomachs. Actually not in search of the BBQ, but going to check out the seafood. Hopefully for Hogfish, turns out it's a play on words Hog for the BBQ and fish for the seafood. Only on occasion do they actually have Hogfish. Excellent service, friendly owner working and watching over things. small and quant place with bar and high top tables (my preference). TVs with sports and racing. Menu has tons of options and good selection of apps and entrees. I'm be of the best "Brisket Philly" anywhere listed under BYO Philly. Good tasting cod bites. The only constructive criticism is the Mac & Cheese is the can "queso" cheese it is my opinion that can cheese doesn't make good queso or Mac and cheese. Really good chopped brisket. We"ll be back to try more items. I'll update on the next trip

Food is REALLY epic! The restaurant is a cool dive but gets wicked chilly inside. If you run cool make sure to bring a hoodie. If you can, try samples of all of the fish! You are sure to leave satisfied. They have a small patio for pets. Service to the patio is spotty, staffing can get rough when busy. Come with time so you don't rush.

We went here for dinner on 8/16 at around 6 PM. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Food was nice and fresh. This one has a nice hipster ambience for patrons coming here.

I waited until I've been here three times to comment. The food is just not good. The Mac and cheese is watery, the ribs are tough. It's just not good, sadly, and I am not sure where all these great reviews are coming from.

The atmosphere is great. The staff is friendly but the fish was not very good. I got the catfish meal and the fish was super greasy. The hush puppies were good the reason I gate it low stars was for the seafood. The chicken wings were good.

I'm a fan. The name made no sense until I realized it's a smokehouse and seafood restaurant! Naturally I needed to try both, so I got the cod and ribs dinner. Both were excellent; the ribs came with BBQ sauce but I liked them better without it. I have always liked ketchup on fried fish, and I missing having any (one of my few, minor nitpicks). My wife's fried catfish had a seasoning in the batter that made it also delicious with no condiments. I enjoyed the potato salad (? - not sure that's what the menu called it) and the baked beans. The coleslaw, not so much. I will mention that there was a weird breakdown in service right as we finished our meal. We were ready to get going and had finished all food and drink, and then our waitress disappeared for over 20 minutes, and even then had to be flagged so we could get our check. It wasn't due to being too busy, so it was weird and the only real knock on an almost-perfect visit. BTW - they have a good beer selection, and we really enjoyed the 25-oz 1554s.

Food was great. Had the Hawaiian burger, Drinks were nice and strong, so if you don't drink much order the small!! Forgot to takePictures The rest of my group were all pleased with thief selections. Ribs were nice and tender. Red potato salad was great!Don't. E out off be the out side appearance of the building . . .

food is phenomenal we have a good time every time.the smoked wings are delicious this is a great place to take your family.And eat
