Haoway Chinese Cafe

I love this place! A great "classic" American Chinese food restaurant. They have inside seating too! But I usually do take out. I've only gotten the Orange Chicken(3 times) but it's delicious! It's the typical pieces of chicken fried in tempura batter with a zesty citrus sauce. They do it exactly like I had in the 90s on the east coast! So good and cheap at around $14. They have lots of other foods, I will need to try one day. The women is very hardworking and nice at the register. Thank you!

Very good Chinese food. I got chicken in garlic sauce and hot and sour soup. My soup was just ok. The broth was pretty good, but the solid ingredients were meager, even for hot and sour soup. Where this place shined was my entre. The spice level was a perfect medium spicy with a good garlic flavor. The chicken was nice thinly sliced white meat. There was a good quantity of vegetables too. My wife liked it as well as her egg roll.

Don't listen to the haters! This is a classic mom-and-pop Chinese joint that hits the mark every time. The woman who works the register is brisk, but that makes her kind smile that much more meaningful. The value is beyond 10/10, totally decent/typical Chinese food for significantly less than what you'd pay elsewhere, especially the lunch special! This is a family owned shop and I believe the family has been part of the Boulder community for a long time, please support them!

Very good food. Nice staff and very fast service. Not very expensive. Seems like a sweet family owned resteraunt.

Just discovered Haoway a week ago and have been back twice. So far I've tried General Taos Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Pork Fried Rice. Everything has been absolutely top notch and honestly the best Chinese Food I've had in years! Nothing is over sauced, everything is super flavorful, and the price is great! Did I mention the portion sizes are massive?!? If you're looking for a great Chinese looking no further than here!

Called in my order and as soon as I walked in to pickup, I should have bailed. The smell of stale rancid oil was a clue, and the noodles had the same taste. The noodles tasted like stale boiled noodles which had been hanging out for a while. The meat tasted boiled. Appears oil was used to revive this and definitely greasy.Over $10 for this little container.Love supporting small businesses but sadly this was beyond edible.

It has been several years since my last review and I wanted to update. The great news is Haoway is still my go to restaurant. Their potions are large; the ingredients fresh; the dishes consistently made and the temperature is perfect. Yes the price has gone up but absolutely everything I buy had increased. Only one thing has changed and that is they are closed on Sundays. While I was affected I am very happy for the Harding working team of two that work every other day making and serving their customers. When you purchase and bring your business to this business you can expect a consistent experience every time. There are some seating but the lion share is takeout.

Nothing fancy just a small family owned Chinese Cafe serving delicious homemade style Chinese food. All your staple menu items. Great Hot and Sour soup, good dumplings, delicious LoMein, etc. They no longer deliver but do have pick up phoned-in orders FAST.

Honestly, this place has become one of my favorite places to eat in boulder. The food is amazing and the staff is wonderful.
