Hamburger Stand

This place has used to be amazing for a very cheap meal now the prices are reaching McDonalds prices and this place doesn't even come close to being worth the money. The chili tastes off and the burgers taste like they should be $1 max, however, I've been to other weinershnitzels (in Cali) that had edible ingredients and amazing chili. This is just not the place

This is I guess the parent company or whatever of Wienerschnitzel that are out in California. It's the same menu items the same prices totally excellent food.

I'll start my review by saying, I have been to this location several times. I like to give a few chances before the awareness of not returning sets in. I actually like the Hamburger Stands! They remind me of A&W back in Wisconsin. It is deep nostalgia for me! However, this is a franchise location. When I say this I mean 'owned by someone who can use their logo and stuff but doesn't have to follow what corporate advertises'. This location is off Havana just south of Alameda in Aurora. It is on the east side of Havana and getting into and out can be tight. They do have a drive-thru which is great. However, my last visit there the person taking my order was rather curt and lacked good customer service skills. Most know a business will make or break in this regard.My last two visits here were on National Corn Dog Day and National Hamburger Day. Both times they did not participate in what was being advertised. See, I get the text messages about them. The Lakewood location DOES participate in this , just FYI! I still placed an order and paid too. I purchased a chili cheese dog, chili cheese fries and a dipped cone. I didn't order a drink. I am not big on soda, rarely have it. The dipped cone was okay, but the ice cream was a cream color. Not what I am used to. It tasted odd too.My experience at this location is extremely lacking. Parking is okay but the layout isn't great. Customer service people seemed to not give a crap and they don't follow what is advertised by corporate. Why bother driving over there. I would rather go to the Lakewood location (closer view to mountains too!)

Holy freakin moly ! I was so excited to see this joint as I was driving by. So backstory , coming from California , this place is called Wienersnitzel. Looking one up on Yelp will show me that there is 1 located 4-5 hours from me. Sad face for months now, but as I was driving around Denver about a month ago I look over and see "Hamburger Stand" and I knew that big red W and I was elated to see that my chili cheese fry, corn dog, and chili dog craving can now be fulfilled. Out here in Colorado is called "Hamburger Stand" Today was thee day, I decided to get me some good junk food eats. I had a larger order and it was all filled correctly. The girl taking the order was kind and patient with me as I placed it and I immediately devoured my 3 items. (There was others food in the same order, but just 3 for myself) I will be coming back here now that I know I can get my chili dog on!

Hamburger Stand offers the basics...burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc. However, they also feature some items you'll not find elsewhere...tamales and polish sausage sandwiches. The best thing though, is everything is pretty good and reasonably priced. I especially enjoy their basic hamburger. It's simple but satisfying. I just wish there were a location serving the south metro area.

The breakfast burritos are fire! As far as I know, the only location that has them is the one on south Havana. If u are near that location I highly recommend the breakfast burritos.

So bummed to have given up Wienerschnitzel leaving LA and then we found this It's exactly the same place but a different name- not sure why. I haven't been able to find any comparable chili in existence then what's on their chili dogs I don't know what it is with all that processed goodness but I'm obsessed, the fries are always so good and you can't go wrong with tastee freeze connected!

I have loved the Hamburger Stand/Weinersnitzel since I was kid. I was so excited to hear that they have locations in the Denver metro area. I stop by this location from time to time because I love their chili cheese fries so much. The food doesn't ever really look appealing. I feel like they don't try to make it appealing. But that isn't by complaint. The reason for my 3 stars instead of 4 is because the guy that works the drive thru is absolutely awful. He is rude, argumentative, and gets orders wrong all of the time. Every time I drive up and hear his voice, I cringe. It is always a thought of what am I going to have to deal with today? Today is an an example. He was arguing with the lady in the car in front of me. I couldn't hear the specifics but he was raising his voice and yelling at her. This is so unprofessional. For my order, he missed ordering cheese on my burger. He misses something every single time. I am not sure how he still works there.

Warning: first world problem ahead. Don't you hate when you want to order at a drive thru because you don't want to get out the car but you want to order a savory main dish as well as a dessert that melts? I can't hold a soft serve ice cream while driving and have it not be melted after I get home and eat my main dish. As a result, you have to eat dessert first & and you have to do it while driving...safely. A banana dipped soft serve ice cream cone comes in two sizes (small or regular) and is a great summer treat. The banana forms a hard shell the way the chocolate dipped cones would. The banana is artificially flavored but I thought the dessert was still pretty enjoyable. I tried their onion rings and thought they were good/standard. One order comes with 7 rings. They have specials each day. Monday's special is a 99 cent soft serve cone.

I gotta tell ya, I love this place. It's toasty warm inside. The dogs are as good as anywhere. And, the pastrami sandwich is a treat. Service is always outstanding. I go back regularly!
