Halfpenny Brewing

Really tasty beers and a nice, relaxed ambiance. Nice musical offerings and big TVs. I've especially enjoyed the Werewolves (porter) and Homer's Oates (stout) beers, and the acoustic jam and open mic nights. Open acoustic jams every Thursday 7-9 pm.

Love the large open taproom with comfortable seating and great selection of more traditional style beers. There is a patio back out back which is a nice choice for warm days. And I am so glad we'll behaved leashed dogs are welcome indoors!! The bartender was very friendly and helpful with her recommendations.

Stopped by to try the local brewery. It was quite an old and grungy looking place. The ambiance was very quiet at the time before the local band came in to set up. The service was good. Very simple and was attentive to the 6 other customers in there at the time. The beer. This beer was not good. It was flat and tasted horrible. Almost like it was an old college try to brewing beer. The selection was not the greatest. They had a wall of all the drinks they've brewed and it looks very enticing but the current selection didn't hit the mark. My beer wasn't as cold as I usually get at other places. Overall, I think they missed the mark even with the basic IPA. It just wasn't good or refreshing.

We have been to Half Penny a handful of times and the place is pretty solid. They have a nice variety of beers though I feel like they don't have a whole lot to pick from. But I am always able to find a beer that suits my pallet. I will say the place can get pretty loud at times. The building doesn't have much inside to stop from echoing when they have trivia or something on the tv. The other times though, the place is quiet and you might see people reading books while sipping a nice brew.

Went here on 8/12/23. First time here in many years. Food truck was 2 hours late. Lots of tables inside. Looks like they have a smaller patio outback. I tried the Hefeweizen, dunkelweizen, maibock, wheat and helles. Bartender was very friendly. All beers were really good. Good selection from light to dark. Fun place to drink at. Cheers!

Cool space, chill atmosphere, good beer.My husband and I stopped in at Half Penny on a Wednesday night. We brought in food from a nearby restaurant - love that you're able to bring in your own food or order from the food truck out front.Inside, the brewery has pub-like furnishings and an overall laid-back vibe. They were playing the Winter Olympics on a big screen which was awesome.The only flaw I discovered was their limited beer menu - they only had 1 stout on the menu - an imperial - which was shocking since we went in February (what happened to stout month?!). However, I really liked my imperial and my husband enjoyed his IPA.I'll come back once their menu expands a bit!

We stopped in on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The bartender was super friendly and offered us lots of samples of their different beers while chatting with us. We enjoyed their "biergarten" out back for a bit before the heat sent us back inside to the cozy corner of couches. We had a few different beers and all were delicious! Overall this is a great spot with a good variety of beer, lots of seating, and friendly service.

We walked in and it wasn't crowded. There were very few people there. We walked back to the outside seating and it also didn't have many people. The place was dirty. The doors walking needed cleaning and the floors needed attention. Therefore we didn't even stay to have a beer.

Good bartender..friendly. Super selection of beers!! Had a great band on Friday. nice open seating...&. Bathroom was clean!!

I love the staff and beer choices! Matt was especially attentive and knowledgeable. They are also very dog and kid friendly! Highly recommend the house made root beer for kiddos. The live music is great when they have a band!
