My apologies....I have high hopes about this Food Truck... Maybe I ordered the wrong item that day. It was the Shrimp Taco. 3 Shrimp Tacos for $10.YES it comes COLD.. like ceviche...But there is NO FLAVOR at all. So disappointed with my order. *SIGH*The shrimp they used is the mini shrimp those you can purchase in BULK or in CANs..The staffs are lovely ladies.. But in terms of the Food I order it was indeed disappointing. Maybe this is an isolated incident.

Whoa... what?! There's a truck in Denver serving Chamoru food -- the cuisine enjoyed by folks in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. Picture Hawaiian BBQ mixed with some Filipino influence (lumpia!), and you'll be vaguely close. We ate some excellent Chamoru-style BBQ ribs and chicken, served with wonderfully sticky red rice. And then there's something called a Kerguelen taco -- a citrusy chicken salad, served in corn tortillas. It's sort of like a chicken version of ceviche, at least in spirit. As a bonus: they serve Puerto Rican cookies! And the four women who operate the truck are lovable and fascinating. Seriously, just try it. You'll have to look awfully hard to find the cuisine of Guam anywhere else in this part of the world.

Guåfi Island BBQ's food truck was outside the roller derby game last night, and so I got my first introduction to Guamanian food. My eyes immediately were drawn to seeing lumpia on their menu. I've had lumpia in Indonesia and in the Philippines, but I've never been to Guam, so I had to ask about the style. The young women of Guåfi gave me a few suggestions, explaining that their lumpia is probably closer to Filipino lumpia, given geography. But since I wanted a whole meal, they recommended getting the combo plate, and so that's what I went with. It had some really yummy grilled chicken, one pork rib, some sort of slightly pickled veggies I know nothing about (but ate all of), rice, and potato salad. There was a little container of sauce that I just poured all over the meat and rice. It was all yummy! But when I was midway through my meal, one of the people from the food truck tracked me down inside the roller derby venue and gave me a hot, crispy lumpia with sauce. So I did get to try one after all. And it was probably the best lumpia I've ever had! Super light and flaky wrapper, with good stuff inside.I looked up what "guåfi" means, and according to the Chamorro dictionary I found online, it means "fire". That seems appropriate. If you get a chance to try out the food from this truck, I recommend it. They post their upcoming locations on their Facebook page.

Surprisingly amazing! Ordered the Fiesta Plate with BBQ Chicken and got a side of the Lumpia (Fried Beef Egg Roll) and couldn't have been more pleased.Chicken was boneless which was perfect for a food truck dish. Strong flavor and a very clean cut of meat. It came with 3 sides (rice, potato salad, and a cucumber kimchee) that complemented it well. The Lumpia has a light flaky wrap that was a solid compliment to the main plate. Would definitely eat again if I saw them setup!

Came here when it was outside of Beryl's Brewery. I had the shrimp tacos, which were cold and actually only had shrimp in them with lime juice, but they had a tasty spicy marinade. We also got the kimchi (amazing!) and lumpia egg rolls. Pretty affordable and pretty good with a beer!

Fantastic! Didn't hold out too much hope when they opened up and said it would take ten minutes to get my chicken dinner. But oh my was it worth the wait. My biggest regret is that I live in Florida and may not be able to have them again soon.

I'm from Guam and honestly this makes me sad. Price for what you get is insane, dry ribs just like back home when we are all drinking and uncle burns all the meat. Leche atleast make good tatiyas, relate back to home and don't try to make something that's mediocre. Agat in the house and if you don't know what that means then you are definitely not Chamorro

Had to do my first ever review because this gem of a food truck is that good. Got two fiesta plates with pork spare ribs and chicken thighs, both were delicious and full of flavor. The shrimp fritters were pillowy and full of tender shrimp, carrots, and peas. Made the whole family happy. Apparently at Hogshead on Saturdays in Oct. so you get snacks brought to you as you drink. A perfect combination.
