The GVR Beer Garden, located at 4995 Argonne Street in Denver, Colorado, is a testament to the state's vibrant craft beer culture. Set within its own park, the venue offers over 4,500 square feet of outdoor garden space, featuring open-air seating and a welcoming covered pavilion. Communal Oktoberfest-style picnic tables, accommodating up to 350 guests, foster a sense of community and camaraderie. The beer selection is thoughtfully curated, emphasizing Colorado's handcrafted brews, available both on draft and in bottles. Complementing the beverage offerings, the menu includes locally-made gourmet brats and sausages, freshly-baked pretzels, house-ground burgers, hand-cut fries, and chef-inspired salads. Patrons frequently praise the quality of the food, noting items like the BOMB burger and loaded tots as particularly enjoyable. GVR Beer Garden prides itself on delivering great value, quality food, and exceptional customer service. The family-friendly environment ensures that all guests have a pleasant experience, with policies in place to maintain safety and comfort. Tried this place on the way to the airport. It kind of disappointed me for the following reasons:Staff are neither friendly or unfriendly, just kind of there. You walk up to a counter, order, pay, and get a beeper to let you know your food is ready to go back and pick up. They charge you 20%, regardless of order size, for the privilege of being your own waiter.I got the Philly. So many peppers I could not taste the meat or really the queso sauce. Just peppers. The entrance is by itself so elderly have to trek a ways to get inside. The 20% surcharge bugs me for mediocre food.I won't be back and guess this place won't survive.

Beer selection, B-Wings and fries, BBeing progressively FORCED to tip 20%, FThat is what I might give a server who takes my order, fills my water, brings my food, etc. If I have to stand at a counter for beer, then another one for food, and get all my own silverware/napkins/ketchup from a cafeteria style bar, how is that 20% service? But because the Binky Class cried, you are forced to pay a 20% "surcharge." This actually started during covid. A year of businesses bossing customers around, forcing them to wear progressive obedience diapers or leave, show proof of vax, follow arrows, no more bathrooms, no tables, pass the basket over. It was clear this generation already thought being a customer was a privilege, not a right, and couldn't wait for an excuse. It's not shameful to want good service and want to reward ONLY good service instead of all service, whether good or bad. The latter is a slouch toward what all progressives dream of: communism.

Delicious food and decently priced! I got the green goddess bowl with chicken, my boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki (which had a kick to it), both very filling and yummy. Outdoor space is perfect for the summer too!

Great spot for a Friday night! They have rotating taps so there's always something new on the drink menu. Fireplace inside is a great vibe and it's loud but not too loud where you can't have a conversation. Service is quick as well despite the Friday post-work crowd.

This is a great go to spot for me and my wife. They have a great selection of meals on the menu. Today I had a Cobb salad and added Ahi Tuna. The Ahi in and of itself was cooked fantastic and looked appetizing. I ate it first before touching the salad. It would have been a crime to mix it in with the salad. The atmosphere here is always relaxed and fun. They had the days NFL games along with a great indoor fire pit to keep you warm. Our service at the counter was great and the cashier was hilarious.

Love this place. Good beer, good food...don't get the overpriced cocktails, bartenders don't know how to make them. One thing that's weird is they automatically put a 20% tip on your bill add it to your amount due and tax you on it. Never seen that before but so just a heads up

Found this place nearby while staying in Denver for the weekend. It was a pretty cool casual spot. You walk up to the counter and order your food there, then walk over to the bar and get your alcoholic beverages there. The people taking our food order were really nice and welcoming. The lady at the bar, was ok not as friendly but also not rude. The beer selection was awesome and the vibes of the place itself was really good. The fish & chips was ok. The fish was a little soggy and not crispy as were the fries. Overall this was a cool place to hangout and grab a beer.

After 4 years in Denver, 2 of which were in the Green Valley ranch area, I finally made it to this beer garden! This place is so lovely with so many beer options (duh!). They have good food options as well - we tried the tater tots coz our friend was super hungry and they were crispy and fresh. We sat outdoors by the firepit and it was so nice. Very well maintained! I can see why this place must be buzzing during summers. Great spot to even bring family and pets (maybe)!

Not even rating the food. The fact that we had to pay a 20% service fee for literally nothing is RIDICULOUS. Barely any customers in here with us, hope this place changes its ways or shuts down.
