Great Vines Liquors

3 years ago I gave this store a 5 star rating for their personnel and the breadth of inventory for wine and bourbon. Since then, ownership has changed hands and things have gotten a little out of hand. I want to specifically talk about their "top shelf" bourbons. Eagle Rare is currently being sold for over $100... MSRP is $35 at best. Their 1.75L Weller Special Reserve is offered for $200! That's a $50 bottle elsewhere. And it goes on and on. This price gouging is really disappointing and fools people that don't know any better. I expected more.

As of today, I am going to stop ordering from this establishment. They seem to have many issues getting orders taken care of. This is the second time in a month that no one responds either via email and their phone rings incessantly busy. It's too bad because I was a good customer.

worst prices in the south metro. total gouge. even the basic low end stuff is marked up 30+. high end, rare stuff on top shelf located up front is marked up 5x or more MSRP. just stupid.

Decent size liquor store in a strip mall. Like most liquor stores, it ain't much to look (lots of cement and bottles), but it has a great selection of beers and harder liquor. Good wine selection too (although I am a beer girl so I don't buy vino that often). The associates are friendly and helpful and it is never too busy. Love it!

This place has a really nice selection. We came here for some nice aged Colorado bourbon to bring back as souvineers/gifts. The guy at the front was really talkative and friendly. Also, notice that there's a lot of travel sized liquors at the front wall near the register!! If I was a huge drinker, this would be my candy store!!

The staff member(lady) here was rude and unfriendly. I recently had shoulder surgery and couldn't lift an item from its high placement on the shelves, but she refused to help. I won't be returning.

I generally have not had problems here but I noticed recently (10/2023) my latest favorite beer (Sierra Nevada big little thing) they bought some 12 packs. I said to my self, I have a feeling that is gonna sit there and I will eventually come in and my only option will be to buy the 12 pack. Well, today was that day. How would I know if it was really that old 12 pack? I get home and have a beer and it has a unpleasant taste. I look at the born on date on bottom of the can and it is 5.5 months old! Sierra Nevada "Does beer expire" states "you can store most of our beers for up to 150 days, or roughly five months". Just one time but now I have 11 beers I am gonna dump out in addition to a WASTE of my time and a VERY disappointing evening.I guess you can't have a ton of options of you don't have enough customers to keep the beer fresh. I guess I will be going somewhere I feel the beer is getting turned over frequently enough which will be less convenient but my tongue will thank me.

5-10x MSRP on allocated liquor, if you want a liquor museum this is your place, no thanks

trash customer service, replacement items were completely opposite of original items. very overpriced. shop elsewhere

Absolutely a fail with new ownership. Have had many discussions, including the one owner whose does the ordering, "Teddy" who took pictures of the labels we've been having trouble getting in the cooler, like anyone wants hot Chardonnay's. Oh, and "Jenny" who begged for "another chance" to get things right with "promises" she'd personally ensure we were taken care of!‍‍. Sure miss Harish & Amrit.
