Fat Boys Sports Bar & Grill

Hubs and I came here for lunch last Wednesday. We started with the good firecracker shrimp, which were tossed well in the sauce even though it was straight from the freezer to the fryer. Next up, we each got a burger. I chose the habanero onion jam burger. My big mistake, I thought it was going to be a sweet heat as they claimed it was a jam; however, it was a ton of RAW habanero which made the burger inedible! The waitress did apologize, but like, really, folks! Hubs said his burger was okay. One plus is that the sunrise mimosa was bangin' and hit the spot. I'm not sure if we would ever return, tho.

This is a cool place to go watch the game. The staff was nice, but whatever you do, do not get the wings. The wings were horrible.

After the bartender and cook raved about their peach cobbler, I decided to try it. I've had not-so- good peach cobbler in the past but this was next-level bad! It was a combination of dough, peaches, some sort of crumble with a random strawberry thrown in for good measure I guess. I almost vomited at the mere site of it. It looked inedible and I didn't want to wind up in Urgent Care from trying to it eat. I'm appalled and disgusted. I've ordered from them a couple of times and the food wasn't bad. This was my first and last time ordering dessert. As a matter of fact, I'm going to refrain from ever eating there again.

Brunch was delicious, great portions for the price. Service was good overall, but don't be in a hurry. Have a mimosa so you enjoy the time. I like the feel of the older buildings, privately owned places over chains, so I was very at home with the older decor. I will definitely be back to try out dinner and enjoy a beverage. Some of the indoor tables are small if you aren't sharing food.

Slow Service I was so excited to eat here. I always pass by a full parking lot. Unfortunately, the service was super duper slow. It took forever to get anything - food, refills, the bill, etc. The food was pretty good, but the long wait killed the whole vibe.

Got some food to go. Phenomenal ribs and catfish (full piece is huge and nuggets are great). Impossible to get a spot at the bar top to drink and watch the game, but really surprisingly great ribs and catfish. Will def order to go again. Would love to hangout and drink here but it looks like the regulars run the bar top and there's never any space for new-comers.

$6.5 pint or $8.5 24 oz. Modelo waitress didn't offer choice only found out after other table was asked. Menu says $3.5 rice and beans with Mexican entrees , asked for just rice not even a 1/4 cup. Charged $4.5. Get bill and there is a service charge for using a credit card. Most credit card companies charge 2.4% Fat Boys charges their customers about 5.2%. There are no signs posted anywhere .also no atm. This use to be a place to have good food and drinks with good music. NO LONGER......

Service and atmosphere were good but food was mid. Got meatballs, a Cuban, and French onion soup. French onion soup was good

Although we have eaten in the restaurant several times and always enjoyed it, we decided to get bowls of gumbo to take home. The portion size was good, the seasoning was a little spicey but not over the top and the gumbo had lots of good sausage, chicken, shrimp and veggies. We got a side salad and they are always plentiful and nicely made. An excellent choice that we will do again.
