An older rink in the south part of Metro Denver (Centennial). Two sheets of ice, stands up top (Hamilton Rink and Avalanche Rink), and a snack bar and full bar/restaurant onsite. There is also a pro shop, assisting with everything from new hockey skates, sharpening, pads, hockey gear (socks, practice jerseys, warm-ups for the club team (Warriors) and other hockey related items. There is also a golf course connected to this rec center, so you can get golf related items and pay for tee times, carts, etc.I've been going to this location since my son started with ice around 8 (he's playing in HS now), so I've definitely spent many hours at Family Sports! The facility staff is generally very friendly and helpful, and the Avalanche Grill staff (bar/restaurant upstairs) always has excellent staff that are quick to serve.Good at the Avalanche Grill is to be expected for any bar/grill spot. Prices are good and the food is generally tasty. For an older rink in the south part of town, I still enjoy going to FSC. I know what to expect, the parking lot on the weekends is always busy (golf, hockey, turf sports across the parking lot, kids birthday parties, etc.).

This used to be a amazing spot several years ago. Doing my recent visit , I was surprised by the emptiness during winter break and it was not bustling with joyful sounds of children. There were a few staff when I entered on the first floor.I headed upstairs to grab a snack before skating. The pizza oven was broken. There was one server and it was her first day. She was amazing and the reason for the 4 stars. A number of food items had to be changed either wasn't available or not able to prepare the food.Hopefully, this is a temporary slump. This place was always fun and the kids would have a great time

This place is awesome! Can't believe I'm just now finding out about this spot. It's 2 stories. The first has a pro gear / accessories store, fun area with arcade games, bouncy things, bumper cars, small arcade & birthday party area on one side and then the AV's practice rink & a public use rink on the other. The second floor is a spectator area for the rinks and the bar / grill. Super cool people watching while they skate. I was impressed with some skills out there. Then I went over to the grill. It's cozy. I grabbed a 24oz Palisades Peach (which is my new fave) & a basket of onion rings (it was huge & they were thick n crispy), then went & sat out on the patio in the amazing sunny beautiful weather. The bartender was nice. Very chill vibe. What a peacefully delicious monent. Wow, my soul needed this. Definitely recommend for families & groups, or even by yourself for a lovely moment in the sun.

We had amazing time, I came here with my family to play mini golf. We had a really great time, the course was well put together, it was very exciting. The courses were clearly designed well, with interesting designs, with beautiful water features. The staff was very nice, and after our amazing time we were given free ice cream as a result of a Groupon. The staff was lovely and while we didn't see the whole area it looked amazing!

What a fun night to hit golf balls under the flight path! Planes are so close you feel as if you can reach up and touch them! Large bucket of balls were $17.00. Parking is plenty and there are plenty open booths even on a Friday night at 8:00!

We had my daughters 7th birthday party here. It was a busy time on a Saturday but our assigned staff member did great herding the 16 kids around. The laser tag course was great! The hit of the party was the bumper cars. As an adult I would want more space for bumper cars but the 2nd and 3rd graders loved it. The euro-bungy seems like it could use some attention but it worked well for most of the kids. We would do another party here in a heart beat. So many parents said it was a great party and one parent even said they were going to steal our idea!

My kids have been doing ice skating lessons for the past year and we love it! The lessons are reasonable and the Staff is really nice. They have 2 rinks there as well as a arcade and a place to have birthday parties. That part is a little on the creepy end and I'm not sure I would go here to play arcade games or have a party here as boondocks or anywhere else is wait cooler. Also, the restaurant there is pretty decent . They have a full bar and everything under the sun to eat.So YO to the lady who said on here her kids were miserable with sad faces and you gave one star-maybe you are miserable and maybe you should have thought of what type of place thud is. It's a freaking ice rink! I would not really on end this place for much else! They offer hockey and all different types of ice skating lessons. My only complaint with this place and it's a BIG one is there website!! Never in my life have I seen a website designed so terribly. It's real bad. I think they need to look into paying a professional for some help. I'm from Silicon Valley and whoever helped them would either get laughed at or fired!! Also, you don't always know if you are signing up at south suburban or family sports center. So to the manager if you want more business and not be such a mess. Get help!! Other then that this place is great. All the negative reviews are very strange. LOL

It's a nice place but man are they busy! We went for the public skate on a Sunday afternoon. The rink was packed and we spent most of our time avoiding crashes with other skaters. We will probably pick a different time to skate...

My 8 year old daughter just started getting in to golf, and we decided to go to the driving range so she could hit a real golf ball instead of whiffleballs in the yard. Family Sports Center has a great facility, and it's not expensive.Start in the golf center and buy your tokens for balls (S, M, L). Head on over to the two story range stalls and find a spot. On a warm weekend, it can be tricky to get a spot and you might have to wait for something to open up. We had 4 people and just rotated through one stall, and then another opened up next to us so we could use two stalls. Sometimes the ball machine swallows tokens, but there's usually an attendant to help out.Try to get a spot close to the path down to the stalls as it can be a bit of a walk with a golf bag. There's lots of targets to shoot for out on the range too.

We have visited this facility over the years, but we just held a birthday party here for our 10-year old son. He and his little friends had a blast! The kids played laser tag, mini golfing, ice skating, and bumper cars. The part host, checked us every few minutes (without being annoying)., and even played laser tag with them. A wonder experience and value.
