After waiting longer than I would anticipate for a burger, it finally arrived and the food was moldy.
The pancakes at brunch are so fluffy and great. Served with warm syrup!

Ellyngton's was phenomenal! The dining room was still decorated for Christmas, which was gorgeous and enchanting. My server was extremely attentive, warm and welcoming. He brought me coffee and my mimosa with cranberry juice promptly as I looked over the menu to decide what I was gonna have for brunch. I decided upon the pancakes with a side of bacon and fruit to be healthy. The pancakes were amazing, fresh and fluffy with warm real maple syrup. The bacon was thick crispy and not extra greasy. The fruit was exactly what I wanted to balance out this meal. It all tasted very fresh. I was perfectly content sitting there and eating all of this at my leisure. When I was done eating, I took the fruit up to my room with me as well as a fresh cup of coffee. This place checked all the boxes. I would happily dine here again.

Never made it! I made a reservation on open table and had to put my credit card information down. The reservation was deleted by the restaurant and I was sent a message that I could make a reservation soon. Unbelievable! I tried calling numerous times at the restaurant, hotel, front desk, concierge, etc. and no one was able to explain what happened. I left a voicemail message with the general manager, Jana Smith. Let's see if I get any answers from her, or even a call back. Sadly we won't be making any reservations ever again at the Brown. Truly sad customer service and I hope my credit card information wasn't stolen! I noticed a few reviews mentioning erroneous credit card charges at this restaurant.

One of the most sophisticated and fancy restaurants that I have been to in a while! We came here for brunch and were blown away by how delicious everything was. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food and drinks were next level. I highly recommend the build your own bloody mary bar!

We were promised that Santa would be here today. Confirmed earlier in the week but Nope!! 6 year old very disappointed. Dead plants on the widow sills? Yep. Slow and erratic service yes. Loud? Yes. Elegance and class gone? Yep. Have not gotten to the food yet but will let you know. Not expecting much and sure enough food was served cold. Bathrooms leaking and broken! One of the jewels of Denver has lost its shine. Very sad. Management did profusely apologize and they did reduce our bill, but hoping they can make things better soon.

I have to change my rating- Richard the manager wrote me after I posted and made things right. He listened, wanted to make sure we could come back for a better experience, righted the wrong of our last experience. This is a person who values his counters and is a good business person. We will come back- thank you Richard!

Went for 11:45 seating of Thanksgiving buffet. For $125 we expected a very nice meal and great service, as we'd read about. We came away very disappointed. The service was slow and inattentive, drinks never arrived until we asked multiple times, and after we left we discovered 3 bogus charges on our card. The food was much too average for the price. Save your money, this is a disappointing experience.

We stopped in for lunch at Ellyngton's at The Brown Palace last week and it's hard to find the right words to capture our reaction. Disappointed. Dismayed. Disheartened. The "re-imagined" space - sans the carpet, linen-covered tables, old-school furniture, and heavy silverware - reminded me of a marble-floored college dining room. Once the home of power breakfasts and lunches, Ellyngton's now boasts laminated tables and metal chairs. The service and food were equally shabby. The new owners are steering the venerable old hotel like the Titanic. And it's sinking.

There were some good things about Ellyngton's, but over all, it could've been better.I went for brunch with my co-workers on a Friday, and we were seated promptly. Service was good and our waiter was attentive. The servers and hosts were all friendly and helpful - 4 stars for the people! The food, however, was a bit of a let-down. I got the Crab Oscar Omelette and some orange juice. I always love when restaurants serve fresh-squeezed orange juice - it's SO much better than juice from the bottle and it was a very nice touch! The omelette was...below average. It was cold, the cheese looked like barely-melted Kraft singles, and the presentation was a little messy. I had really been looking forward to dining here, so the food was a bit of a disappointment. I also noticed there were a lot of crumbs on the ground under our seats (like a LOT), and while that's not a game-changer and it's bound to happen at restaurants sometimes, it just came across as sloppy.Overall, I'm not sure I'd try Ellyngton's again. I've had high tea at The Brown Palace and LOVED it, so I'll probably just stick to that next time.

Food is delicious. Have had a wide variety of foods over the last several days and I have enjoyed them all. Everything is fresh, tastes excellent, and the portions are generous. The service has been fantastic. Drinks stay full, food is brought out promptly, and staff are friendly. The new aesthetic of the restaurant is at odds with the rest of the Brown Palace, but over it is a swanky place to get breakfast.Would highly recommend for a nicer weekend brunch or for breakfast if you are staying at the Brown.
