El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant

The food gets a three out of five, but the service was good! The food was pretty average. Not the best but not the worst! I tried the adobada tacos which I thought could use a bit more flavor. The portion size was fairly big too. They were not shy with the meat which I really appreciated! I think it would be great if they included more salsa options. Also, their Large margaritas are HUGE and should be shared with at least 2 people

Mississippi & Wadsworth is our go to location! I always look at everything on the menu and I can't change from veering the Pork chimichangas! I order it with sour cream, pico & guacamole! It's so delicious and will feed me for 3-4 meals!!!!

I went into the restaurant and placed an order to go. The gentleman taking my order repeated it three times because until the third time it was wrong each time he said it. i live maybe 5 minutes from restaurant and went in immediately and sat to eat. The food was so cold, as if it had been sitting out, already made. Not only that but the order was wrong. I have a daughter who is a vegetarian and when she went to eat her cheese enchiladas and found out there was meat in there, she was disappointed. I also ordered an enchilada but mine was beef. I thought the sauce tasted like spaghetti o's. It was not pleasant. I called into the restaurant to speak to the manager but sat on hold for 10 minutes and then finally just hung up. Very disappointed

Great queso and salsa. Meh drinks, overall average food, but good when you want some solid Tex-mex style food. Lots of seating and attentive service.

This is a popular, local restaurant, especially for those who like Mexican Style Fish and Seafood. They have it. I, however, have been disappointed, and I have a legitimate complaint. On the menu is a "Vegetarian Burrito," and the description reads like this:"Vegetarian BurritoRice, black beans, peppers, onions, mushrooms,tomato, smothered in a vegetarian red chile. $9.50with Cheese$10.25"That was "cut and paste" from their on-line menu, but the menu in the restaurant reads the same. I don't know what the deal is, or why they do this, but twice I have gone to the restaurant, and ordered that burrito only to be served a burrito without a single black bean in it. I don't know if they are out of black beans and don't tell customers because they think we won't notice, or if the cook doesn't know to put a scoop of black beans in there. Anyway, I feel like I'm paying for something I'm not getting. There was plenty of rice in there, and plenty of vegetables, but no beans. The flavor was fine, but the whole burrito would have been a lot better with a scoop of black beans.

Walked in to this location and sat at the bar and received a menu. I saw 3 tables and 3 waiters and not one came over to take my drink or food order! The place was pretty empty like I said except the 3 tables with people eating. I don't understand why I can't get decent customer service at any restaurant anymore?? I'll never enter this place again!!

Met a new friend here and it was their suggestion. My first time after driving by it for the last 8 years. I will continue driving by it from now on. It's your typical Mexican restaurant ambiance and appeared clean from the table vantage point and wait staff was fine, but the food was fair to not good. Combo plate included a delicious avocado tostado which was the highlight with a nice layer of tasty avocado. It was downhill from here. My crispy chili relleno was filled with a slice of melted processed cheese. And the cheese enchilada was missing onion. We were the only patrons at 1130a, which is not a good sign, but it was still a bit early for the lunch crowd. Restaurant has been there forever, so it must be making something good

I have been eating around denver in a lot of mexican restaurants and this unfortunately are the worst ! Unfortunately! I always support small businesses, but the rice was hard. The server note was in focus and bring me the wrong meal and I had to wait another 30 minutes for my food and change it and they still charge me . Long story short don't go there!

Mexican food is my favorite, and we eat at El Tap regularly. The meals are fresh and delicious. Never been disappointed! The staff is friendly and responsive to all needs. The restaurant is decorated in a fun tasteful Mexican style.

Was seated with menus outside as requested and after 15 minutes of waiting we never even got water or a friendly hello. Not impressed and the thing is we've been going there forever and recently the service has just tanked. Would not recommend. The number of people and managers walking around doing nothing makes no sense
