El Tapatio

Made a pick up order! And service was amazing !!!!! The water the horchata was super yummy definitely felt unique !!!! Will be back next time I'm in the area !

YELLED AT. We went to El Tapatio for Valentine's Day. Party of 4 with our 7 and 10 year old kids. We were told it was a 10 minute wait but at 30 minutes later we got sat. It happens so not that big of a deal. However, then we had to wait about another 25 minutes to order. Then we got our food. My kids got kids meal chicken wings and FF and a quesadilla with FF. I got shrimp fajitas and rice but no beans on my side plate with flour tortillas. The kids were told after the food got there that they would not be getting FF bc their meals did not come with it and that is extra. So we had to order them after the fact and they got them 15 minutes later.Then my shrimp fajitas came not sizzling. I have never had fajitas come without sizzle! But whatever. However, then I didn't get my salad plate or my tortillas until about 10 minutes later. By the time I got them they brought me all beans instead of rice and I had to ask for a new plate. Then, the guy came by to ask us how it was. I said MEH. He said NO what does that mean, tell me. I tried not to bc I just wanted to leave but he insisted... so I said the food was cold and it was not that good. He yelled at me, said he brought me the food, and I said it's ok it's not that big of a deal. Then he said I will refund you and picked up all my food and carried it away. Never asked me if I wanted something else, and I didn't even want him to take it away or refund us. I left the restaurant starved and felt so uncomfortable. I have never been yelled at or had my food taken away from me at a restaurant. We all left and our kids had to get new meals from a different place bc we felt so uncomfortable. This place is absolutely the worst! The place is HORRENDOUS! Don't eat there!

Ordered a bean burrito special, don't ask me why I paid up for it. Not a grain of rice or shred of cheese in sight. The bean burrito special is beans slopped into a cold tortilla. I wonder what the regular bean burrito is, but I won't ever be back to find out. See the photo of my smothered green chili medium and side of red bean burrito special. I did pay extra for the sour cream and would have ordered dramatically different if I knew there were 2 ingredients in my burrito. Salsa had great flavor, tortilla chips did not feel freshly made. Lots of better options close by, pass if you don't want to be disappointed. Tried to contact the restaurant to get some resolve and their phone is off the hook. Awesome.

These are their steak nachos, queso, and salsa. I also got a side of the green chili to try. I've not been here in years and they never fail me! This place is tucked away in a small town across from flat irons mall and a MUST TRY! (If you haven't already) The service is muy bien! I will tell you, unless you like hearing the patio door slam, don't sit in the last booth in the bar by the door going outside. And last minute after asking to sit alone in an empty facility on the off hours, the manager sat someone right on top of me. Outside of that, I highly recommend this place! Very authentic! Oh yeah.... AND DE-LISH!

The food was amazing and the service was great. Our food came out in a timely manner. The Michelada was excellent! I would definitely come back a second time.

Good local spot with nice outdoor/patio area. Chips and salsa were good! I couldn't tell if the chips were fresh, but still good nonetheless. The chicken enchiladas hit the spot, flavor was good but nothing to write home about. I think some music or cute lights would've livened up the spot a bit more, but it was great for a quick dinner.

If you are not Mexican don't go here!!!!!Worst service I've had in the last decade!!!

I came traveling from out of state with Amy daughter's softball team. We walked in and the manager/server did not want to answer our questions about the prices. So we overlooked that. We then sat down to order and I asked if I can get just a side of vegetables and he said that we don't serve that and turned to the next person and askedWhat they wanted. His name is Guiermo and he's the manger. He was horrible, the whole night. I had to sit down and watch the other parents eat after I hadn't eaten all day from being at the fields. All because they said they don't serve vegetables. I do not recommend this place AT ALL!

Had a wonderful meal tonight, the service was good, but the kitchen was on their game. Ordered the beef and chicken fajita bowl, ordered the green chili on the side. The beef was tender and chicken was full of flavor. It was a true fajita in A bowl. The green chili tonight was a "10". I would highly recommend this dish. The other order was a shredded beef chimicanga. Again it was very good. The Marageritas were good and to end the meal a hot order of sopaliiis. The were really good, again tender dough and a good flavor. Kudos to the staff and cooks for a perfect meal!

Don't judge a book by its cover! I originally avoided this restaurant because it's near the Walmart parking lot but it is great. Hearty and delicious. Staff was speedy, kind, and on top of everything.
