El Senor Sol

I got the horchata and it was more sweet than cinnamon, the food was fine. The service was fine and everything was quick. The restaurant was dark but looked fine.

I've lived down the street from this restaurant for 13 years and this is our first time stopping in. I don't know why we waited so long. This was excellent! I had the flautas and my company had the enchiladas. They were so good! We'll be back!

We were glad to see that this place recently re-opened after being closed for a couple of years. We decided to give it a try since we had eaten there before the closure. We ordered and paid at the counter and ran an errand, letting them know we would return to pick up our takeout order. We thought that our order would be ready after the errand but it was not and we waited for over 20 minutes. When we got home the rice & beans were missing from my fish tacos. However, I was charged an extra $2.99 for them. The fish was little rubbery nuggets, unbreaded and with a side of shredded lettuce & lime. No flavor and not what I've ever had with fish tacos. My husband's Mexican burger did not have any beans. The meat was overcooked and had no flavor. My bill was $50.00 for Mexican food that was not very good (tacos, rice/beans, Mexican burger and a side of quacamole). I even had included a tip. Since we live close by, I went back and let them know the rice and beans were not with my order and that there were no beans in the Mexican burger. They gave me the side of rice with extra beans. Beans were kinda bland. The menus were worn, not new like the renovated restaurant which looks plain & unfestive. There are some televisions but I think music would be a better choice. There were two cooks, one lady taking orders at the counter and a man, the owner?, waiting tables and a bartender. It looked like a busy night but they didn't have enough help. I gave this review 2 stars because the lady at the counter was nice and offered a refund for beans/rice and to make another Mexican burger at no charge, both I declined. Don't think we will be going back. Little George's up the street from this place is much better in presentation and flavor of their food!

Cheapest and nasty made food. I've ordered stuffed sopapillas that were just too deep fry flour tortillas but on top of each other not a Sopaipilla horrible experience. Also bought a solid from their horrible. Has lots of bones in it. Do not recommend.

Wow wow wow!!! Great service , everyone works through team service it feels like.If you're looking to get twisted the margaritas are slappinnn'. There were three of us that came and we're all from Arizona - there are so many authentic Mexican restaurants there and we've been missing that since moving to Colorado! Food was very authentic and delicious!!! Ill recommend to anyone.

Restaurant was clean and tidy, not overdone with decor. Food was good. My husband and I went when it wasn't busy so we had great service since there were only a few people eating. I would recommend.

We ordered medium margaritas. When the check came the 3 margaritas were more than our meals! $17 each! And hardly any alcohol in them. They're food was ok and pretty high priced. Won't be back!!

Got seated and ignored while they took care of people who came in after us. When they finally took our order, the girl didn't remember and had to come back to the table twice and food order was still wrong, not even an apology. This restaurant used to be really good and has gone downhill.

The food was mediocre at best; my chili relleno was not hot in the center and my bean tostada was all lettuce. My husband ordered a house margarita and was charged $18 for it. No one expects to pay $18 for a house Marg. super dissatisfied, will never return

A summer day in June my family and I stumbled upon El Senor Sol! I walked in and a wave of deliciousness hit me, but the room was so dark I immediately stubbed my toe. I was extremely concerned because NO ONE was in the restaurant, RED FLAG. (This awkward space is supposed to be a red flag emoji but it wouldn't post.) I was throughly enjoying my Dr. Pepper until the gut wrenching and atrocious smell brewing from the cup crawled up my nostrils and smacked me in the face. Getting a bite of cheese in my quesadilla was quite the task it was like finding a needle in a haystack. The icing on the cake was my brother being too scared to order a corn dog from this Mexican restaurant because of the picture shown on the menu (update I think the menu changed but I am still scarred.) Despite the issues the service was quicker than the amount of time it takes to perfect saying El Senor Sol!
