Don't assume how I want to tip in automatically add 18% to my bill.I tip in cash (which, I did) so your servers don't have to pay taxes. I wrote on my bill, what to charge CC me and still charged me what you wanted too and that's fraud.Moral to the story bring cash

I love Mexican food more than any other food (except maybe cake). I'm making it a personal mission to try as many Mexican restaurants as I possibly can now that I'm finally back home. Since El Pelicano is across the street from my new house, it was the natural first place to start. You can tell by the pictures that they have a lively dining area complete with club lights, tropical plants on the walls, and beachy murals. Definitely reminded me of a beach club or resort vacation in Florida or Cancun. LOTS of TVs blasting "El Gran Charro de Huentitán" performances and a live mariachi group performed around 6pm or so. My Tacos de Pescado Estilo Ensenada was very generous and delicious. The fish was a little plain; I was hoping for more spice. The salsa had a nice kick though. I usually forget to check in and take pics because I'm so excited to stuff food in my cakehole, but I remembered this time! So glad I did because they have a check-in Yelp offer for a free margarita that you have to use during your visit. It was a full size marg and didn't taste like they skimped on the tequila. Our server was very sweet and did a good job as well. I can't wait to try more dishes and enjoy the entertainment!

Things are not always what they appear to be . The ambiance is very dark, kinda cozy, and the music is upbeat. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and she did offer and bring us drinks in a timely manner. Unlike just chips and salsa they also bring a container of refried beans, that were probably the only good thing of our whole meal. Where do I start, the fish had absolutely NO flavor, and although the waitress did tell me it was fried in fresh out the after taste of eating it is very greasy in your mouth. Total disappointment. The Peruvian ceviche that my wife ordered was a 2 out of 10.i am Peruvian and let's just say they need to change the name on the menu because this plate they give you is not even cooked with sway fish, I have no idea what they use. The seasoning was to say the amount of lime and salt was not balanced to taste. I give it a 2 because they did give you cancha, which is fried corn with the ceviche. The guacamole was fresh but nothing to brag about just some avocado that had no taste really. The soda we ordered was flat with no gas at all. Like what the heck??? The water tastes better than the soda. The empanadas were ok! The bathrooms were clean and smelled clean, so that and the good customer service is the only reason I give this place a 2 star. After $83 plus tip this was $100 down the drain. If you want your food to taste bland and have a greasy after taste this might be the place to throw away your money at. This is probably more of a drinking spot than anything but I didn't really look at their menu. Please believe their 3 star rating, and save your hard earned money. Your better off maybe eating at home

Daaaaayum this place was lively. It was packed throughout. I know the waitstaff was hustling but they were a little slow; nothing to ruin the outing, though. The plates were very sizeable, festive environment, and great music. Go if you are in/near Denver and want good seafood

This restaurant is a whole vibe for Mariscos and entertainment. Whether you come here with a huge crowd, family, or for a dinner and drinks for just one this is your place. A few days out of the week they have live entertainment and always have a game on from Soccer to Football. The staff are friendly, the restaurant is clean and offer big portions for the price of the food. You have to get a Margarita too. They come with light up lights for ice cubes. The have authentic Mexican and Mariscos dishes. Go check it out for yourself loves and leave a review.

I really like this place. The food is good, they have a great selection of tequila, and there is live music on the stage in the back room.They always seem to be busy. There are families as well as the barfly types buzzing around. This is a seafood place with really good selections. You can get octopus tacos or a delicious Mexican style shrimp coctel. The also offer big grill selections that come out on a hot plate. These are meant to be shared and are a really fun way to try different things here. They always give you chips and salsa. One is traditional salsa and the other is a crab salad. Both are really yummy.The music is usually on Friday and Saturday but there always seems to be a mariachi band running around too. Sadly they recently had a fire on their patio which shut them down for a while while they remodeled. The patio is gone now, but the interior is new and updated. I am so glad to see them back open. Stop in and check them out for a drink, snack, or dinner and a show.

Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. Food was amazing and the vibe was so cool. Even the selection of music was cool. Totally better than Mariscos al Rey.

They automatically add in 18% gratuity to your bill. We always tip well but I dislike how they forcefully add this. I've been here a few times and they've never done that. They used to serve complimentary Jaiva and Chips for free and now they charge 1.99 for a tiny bowl (receipt). They replaced it with beans. The waitress that attended us was super nice, no complaints there. They used to have menus with pictures of their plates and it looks like they've decreased their selection and zero pictures, I like visuals lol. It's super nice inside and they're always changing the appearance/atmosphere. I ordered the Cameron's Fiesta. It was very good but for $28 it was not worth it for the portion size. I also ordered the Horchata drink and my goodness it's the best one I have ever tried. You can tell it's made from scratch and not from powder lol if that makes sense. I wish I would have taken a cup to go Overall the food was great.

Complete rip off quoted us one price on special and when bill came 3x. The charged us $120 for fish we supplied and small rice beans for 3 people. What a rip off tourist trap

The food is ok, not the best Mexican food but is good. The ambiance is the best thing in this place, live music on weekends was really fun.
