El Padrino Mexicano

I have been coming to this restaurant since it first opened. Honestly, we love this place. They are so consistent and put out great food time after time! I began going to Los Hitos many, many years ago when Marge and Lolo first opened. They then opened The Bean Bandit and we have been customers since the doors were opened and love it as well. If you're looking for a great place, I highly recommend both locations Keep up the great job!!

We are so excited that El Padrinos is reopened after many months of repairs hope we all enjoy our little home like restaurant in the North Gate area! Please support local family's like this one whenever possible.

First time at El Padrino's. Very good. Lovely atmosphere, lighting and clean floors. I got tamales without the sauce just as I asked. Yum. Spicey salsa, [not ketchup that la casa fiesta in monument serves].This is our new go to for Mexican dinner. Prices are right and it's 5 minutes from home. Can't beat that. Can't wait until our next visit.

I had the pork and avocado burrito. It was meh. I did not expect that it would be guacamole (?) and not sliced avocado. There was barely any green chili on the outside. The pork was drrrryyy. Burritos were a little bigger than a silver dollar. So, my opinion, not for me. Not for that price. They do have a nice happy hour.

Cadillac margaritas worst tasting margaritas we have ever had. They were $14 dollars each which should be quality. No evidence of liquor in them. We complained but only got a sorry from the manager. Shocking for such an expensive drink. Won't go back.

Thank you to the good folks at El Padrino Mexicano for the great food and service for our Ladies group meeting today (5/7/24). it is sometimes hard to please everyone in a larger group, but El Padrino's seemed to be loved by everyone. Food was great and service was excellent! Many ladies expressed that they would like to come back when we have more of our group members present...if you will have us!. Extra thanks to Dimitri, Justin, and Grant!

VERY weak drinks, I could get more of a buzz from a single can of beer (coming from a lightweight). But that was the only downside, the food was fantastic (honestly the best in the springs). We were seated very fast and everything came out quick and fast. Very pretty and clean environment. Would highly recommend!

Food was just so-so. What really bothered me was about the one fajita on the menu. It said there was one-half lb chicken or beef (not that I wanted so much but could do a doggie bag). There wasn't even a quarter lb of chicken and practically no veggies. A waste of $20. My friend had enchiladas which he said were not good. And my wife had the smallest quesadia I've ever seen. Margaritas were served in what looked like a recycled jelly jar. We won't be going back there again.

Called to make a reservation for Friday, May 5th, on Tuesday the 2nd, since it was Cinco de Mayo. I wanted to make sure I could get a table for my son's birthday. The woman on the phone was very nice and said she could give us a reservation for that day. Showed up and was told we don't take reservations on Cinco de Mayo, so I showed them my text confirmation for 6pm. The manager comes out and says nope. I was VERY angry, since I was not the one who made the mistake, but just dismissed like I did something wrong. Then a server makes a management decision, and has us seated. He understood it wasn't our fault that the person who took our reservation was in error, and he made it right. I would give 6 stars for that server! The management could learn from him....The food was really good, cooked perfectly, hot when it came to the table. Loved the calabacitas! Margaritas were fantastic as well. The restaurant was not packed, there were a few empty tables, so it was not a long wait for food. Overall, this could have been a much higher review, if not for the way the management treated us. Excellent service from our server, great food.

My first time having a bad experience at the place. I would be careful on who serves your table. Unfortunately I feel I will not dine there for awhile.
