I almost don't want to review because i don't want everyone to find my hidden gem! Food and service are always excellent. We are always able to bring our kids without judgement. Kids portions are big. Chips and salsa I literally crave.

Outstanding Again! El Meson has been revived by new owners Bertha and Freddy. This is one of my go to places for Mexican food in the metro area (and it is just down the road from me).Service = A+The entire team at El Meson is warm, inviting & friendly. You can't help but smile and enjoy yourself. It comes from the top down --- Bertha and Freddy have hired and managed well!Ambiance = A+A lot has changed in just the last 6 months. For starters... a brand new expanded bar with lots more table top seating (+ the bar itself was handmade). They also added lots more seating, including brand new booths. New lighting and decor rounds out the list which has really transformed this place into a cozy neighborhood restaurant.Food = A+Of course the classics are outstanding (tacos, street tacos, burritos, & enchilada) --- but there are some new tastes I have discovered. My new favorite is "Pechuga rellena" -- stuff chicken with bell peppers, mushrooms, onion cheese, etc... all in their signature chipotle sauce. Also -- Don't forget the churros (served with an El Meson mini cart).HINT: Make it in for Happy Hour (on weekdays before 6PM). Great house margarita's for $5! (+ more)

This is a hidden gem!!! Excellent food and service. Everything was so fresh. Taco salad was absolutely delicious, highly recommend if you're stopping in for lunch! The staff is very friendly and attentive.

I'd go to Taco Bell before I would eat here again. Food was below satisfactory. Worst Mexican I've had in a long time.

Always excellent service and a very friendly atmosphere. The dood always tastes great and we really enjoy our visit every time we are there!

Stopped in here with hubby for lunch after visiting the skatepark nearby. Maggie, our server, was definitely on top of things and super friendly. The spicy marg was perfect! Finally a spicy marg that was spicy enough for my taste. The Chile relleno was amazing. I love their salsa, it's got a kick. My hubby got the Mexican hamburger plus a side of chicharones the last 2 times we've visited and was happy both times. Their portions are large and there's always some leftovers. Prices are fair. We definitely recommend. The ambiance is always chill and friendly.

This is our go-to place for Mexican food . Service is always great. Food is both delicious and reasonably priced . Highly recommend !
