Been going there for about 5 years now and they are the best restaurant and people I've ever been to. Eva is such a sweetheart and gives younger kids with no experience a job. Some waitresses speak Spanish but it's a Mexican restaurant so it's perfectly fine. Food is amazing and price reasonably.

I used to frequent El Luceritos when I used to live in Colorado and had to stop by when visiting recently. I'm not sure how long how long its been in this location, but I was able to find this location, and I'm happy I did. I ordered enchiladas and a tamale, and it tasted like I remembered for the most part but was a little off with the taste. Nothing worth mentioning, but notable to me (but hey, I may be tex-mex biased). They messed up my initial order, and the owner was very nice in remaking it, even though I was extremely full when the new food came out. I look forward to going back when I'm in the area because we don't get green chile in Texas, and I miss that.

Update - I returned to El Lucerito Jr to pick up a to-go order for an early dinner. The counter service was friendly & fast. As in my earlier review, I very much enjoyed my dish. I had the same Combination Plate #5 as before but with a couple of little changes. Instead of the soft Chile Rellano I had the crispy, which was much better, the chile was very tender. I highly recommend the crispy choice. As you can see from the photo I added some extra sauce to it. This time I asked for a side of enchilada sauce, which I eventually poured over the top of everything. In my earlier review I thought the dish could use more sauce, so this solved that problem. This combo also came with a flavorful bean burrito & cheese enchilada smothered in enchilada sauce plus rice & beans. I had the 1/2 mild & 1/2 hot salsa as well. The hot was super hot, so next time for me I'll stick with the mild. They are consistent & generous with their portion sizes. All in all another tasty meal!

On my way to Gilroy, CA, for a book promotion and accidentally stumbled across the El Lucerito Jr restaurant. What a great place! The service was prompt and professional; the food was served quickly and tasted great. And the salsa....I could eat it with a spoon. My work ordered burritos for everyone from this place. Approx 250 burritos. They were ok but honestly mostly potatoes. I had the machaca breakfast burrito and could not find the meat... oh wait, maybe? The salsas had good flavor but the hot was not hot by any means. And seriously what is it with opened ended burritos?I love everything dripping out while I'm trying to eat a burrito, said no one ever. Use bigger tortillas and fold an end! There was no love put into this food.
