This little Mexican style restaurant is an Aurora lunch staple. The food is good and relatively inexpensive. They have all the regular dishes you would expect including burritos, tacos, enchiladas, and the sort. But in addition you can get a torta or even a hamburger. The staff is very friendly and personable and speak both English and Spanish.I personally like the torta de milanesa. It's a thin chicken fried steak on a Mexican style sandwich roll topped with lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, and avocado. Super delicious. The burritos are a good go to for me and have always enjoyed them. Get them smothered with green chili and a bit of hot salsa on the side. They come with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. All around a good place to eat.

The menudo is incredible. One of the best kept secrets. I debated posting this review because I don't want everyone to start coming here lol

El Camino is an outstanding family establishment. They make menudo that is like my grandma's. The soup is so good and is a must for a cold. I have been going there for 26 years and will continue as long as they are open. They are friendly and caring. Please join me in keeping outstanding family business like El Camino around.

I just ordered a Barbacoa burrito from El Camino. The meat was well seasoned and warm on a rainy day. I added sour cream and cheese and with tax it came to about $8.60 which I thought was a little high, but it hit the spot for what I needed

I can't say enough about El Camino restaurant. 18 years ago, we moved to Aurora, Colorado from southwest Texas. We didn't know anything about the area at all, a co-worker of mine recommended El Camino restaurant. A small Mexican restaurant where they serve good meals at a very reasonable price. I took my family that same weekend and we were amazed at the size of the serving portions and the food was great. We have tried other Mexican restaurants and in my opinion they do not compare. Our family is made up of Mexican and Irish heritage so we know exactly the taste that we enjoy. The customer service is very friendly and we always feel right at home. Normally, I order the menudo and the rest of the family usually orders different meals, which I have to say that we have never been disappointed. The menudo is great, brings back memories of when my mom used to make it at home. The Taco salad is one of the best we have ever had, the portions and flavor of the Carne asada cannot be compared. About 3 years ago, we decided to move away from the area to Colorado Springs and have tried other Mexican restaurants there but can't find one that even compares, so we make the trip at least once a month to Aurora to have some great food. You have to understand that this restaurant is not fancy and their meals are not set for presentation. Their meals are just as what mom used to make. Great food at a great price.

Live in the area and was craving Mexican food and a margarita, well unfortunately they only have the food aspect. No liquor unfortunately, but that wasn't a huge deal I saw past it. Menu had a ton of options and I saw guacamole reasonably priced at 2.50 for a "large" order.. well these have to be some of the most boring Chips I've ever seen/tasted, and the guac lacked any real flavor other than, well, avocado. Ordered the burrito de Barbacoa with rice and beans, smothered in green Chile. The barbacoa was good! However the burrito was really small for 8.50, and the green Chile was watery and had absolutely no flavor. The reason I'm still giving three stars is because the service was great! My drink was refilled instantly and I never had to wait on my server. Can't say I'll return, but if I do I wouldn't get a burrito again.

I was in this part of Aurora for work about a month ago. The guys we were meeting with us were nice enough to invite us to join them for lunch. They're regulars at El Camino, so we happily tagged along.Servings are huge, and cheap! I had three chicken enchiladas with red sauce for about $6-- the chicken itself was a little dry, but the sauce was great. The chips were nice and warm, and the salsa was quite hot but not super flavorful. The burritos looked like a good choice. There's a distinct lack of ambiance at this place, and I'm not sure how clean it is, but with limited options, I'd come back for enchiladas again.

This is a nice little family-ran restaurant. The food is decent & the people running it are friendly. The service is fast even when their super busy at lunch. Their prices are also good, 90% of their menu is under $8. I never seen any unsanitary conditions here in the 30 + times I've ate here.

Not fancy, but friendly and very good service. Liked the carnitas tacos, also had a combination that was good quality and a good value for the price. Not close for us, but we will be back next time we are in the area.
