The new staff was working really hard to get familiar with a busy environment and they did great! The inside had a great open layout with many seating options. Our order was made correctly and the food was delicious The Owners were incredibly friendly. Looking forward to enjoying this new family owned business in Elizabeth! Wish I would have taken more photos of our food and ice cream treats. We had a combo #1, #2, #3, with a Oreo blizzard, banana split and hot fudge sundae.

The burgers are surprisingly REALLY good! The staff is young and actually provides great customer service, which is hard to do with kids these days. The only reason that I didn't give a 5 star review is that frequently our blizzards are not blended at all in the last 2"-3" of the cup, so the bottoms are just plain ice cream, and the blizzards are very runny lately. Those are easy fixes with a little coaching, otherwise this place is great!!!

Let me be very clear, this review/complaint is not about the Elizabeth, CO Dairy Queen. The Elizabeth DQ staff is incredibly friendly and professional. The facility is new and very clean. The food is very delicious. My complaint is about corporate DQ and yes, my stupidity. Friends gave me a $15 eGift Card for 2023 Christmas. A DQ eGift card is not to be confused with a regular DQ gift card. An eGift card is purchased online and does not work properly with the DQ app. I attempted to use my eGift card on January 25. Here's the catch - - I failed to read the instructions; which, specifically states to bring the eGift card to the store to redeem. I was in a rush and tried using the DQ app to place an order. The DQ system zeroed out my card and did not place the order. When I arrived at the DQ store in Elizabeth the store manager suggested I contact DQ customer service, I assume a corporate run organization. After four calls to DQ customer service I received no satisfaction. So, I sent a letter via USPS to Nicolas Boudet, Chief Operating Officer of International DQ Corporation in Bloomington, MN. He passed the letter to Chloe (no last name), their Fan Relation Specialist, at the American DQ Corporation requesting a new $15 gift card since their system zeroed out my card and no food was delivered. Chloe sent me a letter dated 9/25/24 attaching a printed version of the card history. That's it. Shame on you DQ! I have been a loyal customer for well over 50 years; including, but not limited to: 1. Two of those as a seasonal firefighter where we enjoyed DQ treats at least once a week, 2. Five years in Montana while attending the University of Montana where we enjoyed treats even during their harsh winters, and 3. Fifteen+ years where my children and I would go to a Dairy Queen in Aurora, Colorado during a blizzard to enjoy Blizzard treats. My children continue that tradition today. Well, despite my loyal patronage to DQ over these 50+ years, I am saddened at DQ's position of enjoying $15 dollars of pure profit and their terrible and shameful customer service. Therefore, I am done with DQ. I will no longer share the wonderful DQ memories with family and friends. I will remove my cherished DQ sign hanging in my home (see attached photo). And lastly, I will protest their corporate greed and poor corporate customer service by withholding my business at all DQ locations. On a side note, I wonder how much profit DQ earns every year from customers like me who fail to follow the instructions. I was once told ethics is how a person or corporation behaves when nobody is watching. I think I know where DQ stands. The purpose of this message is also to warn other customers to be sure to read the instructions on DQ eGift cards (purchased online). Be sure to take the printed eGift card to a DQ. Do not attempt to use the eGift card using DQ's app. And if you do what I did then do not expect DQ corporate to remedy your mistake. And lastly, let me repeat my opening statement that this review is directed to corporate DQ and not the Elizabeth, CO DQ. The folks at the Elizabeth, CO DQ are the salt of the earth, professional and friendly.

Bad. Good staff, but after 3 visits, I won't go again unless it's for ice cream. All three times the burgers just weren't good, and never finished them. The last time, by the time I was halfway through a thoroughly over sized and unwieldy burger, the stale fries were getting hard. The owner needs to eat there regularly to monitor quality, because it is not good. In Elizabeth? Go to Sonic or wait until McDonald's opens on the west side.
