Ooooh yay!!!! Double Happy is back open for dine in! We popped. In for lunch and it was delicious!Apparently, there are new owners, but it's still great food... The lunch specials are really awesome. You can get entrée, your choice of rice and appetizer and soup. The portions are just right. My husband is particular and they were able to meet his every need just perfectly. The portions were really good and both of us will be taking home food we enjoyed beef and broccoli and sesame chicken and it was delicious.Service was fantastic and everything was nice and clean cold water on the table. We were super excited to see Double Happy back open to dine in.

The Peking Dinner is their best value for money right now because for under $25 you get a three-course meal which I have enjoyed both as a takeout meal and in their spacious dining area. Always the nicest service in Louisville!

Double Happy is a Louisville institution.It is also kind of just normal American Chinese food with a Vietnamese side (hence DOUBLE happy).I have never had bad food here whenever I order. I have had orders where I kind of regret ordering what I did but I can't blame the restaurant for that.If you need that classic American Chinese food and are even somewhat in the area then this is the best option for you, without a doubt.I have only ever experienced take out here but the employees are always very nice and I have ordered large orders here without any issues.I personally like the moo shu pork, sesame chicken, and the egg drop soup.

Stopped by this place after lunch to try a boba drink. My brother got the honey dew boba milk tea and I got the taro. He did not enjoy his and wished that it was more sweeter and that they didn't put too much milk tea in it. I actually enjoyed mine. It was perfectly sweet and I did taste the milk tea in mine, but it wasn't over powering. We both did agree that the boba was cooked perfectly. Just beware that this place will not be doing dine in anymore. They have stopped doing dine in since Covid. I asked the lady how long they have been there and she said the old couple who owns the place has been in business since 1981. I was only 2 years old! Lol She said the couple is planning on retiring and that's why they won't be doing dine in. Their menu looks good though. Maybe one day, I will try take out from this place. At this point, it's only fair to rate the boba drinks. For now, it's a 3 star.

I was excited to try their sesame tofu - it is the worst sesame tofu I've ever had - the tofu is old or freeze dried, chewy & I was able to only eat two bites before coming to terms that it isn't edible - truly disappointed

A beautiful component to the city of Louisville. After closing down the interior due to COVID, there's a reason they've been able to stay open for so long. Excellent service, fantastic food, and an incredibly low cost (if not ordering through Door Dash). Highly recommend the tofu spicy pad thai.
