Dave's Hot Chicken

I've been wanting to check this place out for a while! So good! So fresh!! So tender!!!The seasoning is just spot on! I got the hot, wife got the medium, kiddo got the mild! All tasted great!! None were greasy! The service was very friendly! The place was clean! Ambiance was as expected for a fried chicken joint. Fun. Loud. Lots of young folks. Prices were decent for a fried chicken joint! Bringing friends here for sure!

I am upset that we didn't take any photos. We ordered this to go and the drive back home was about 15-20 minutes. When I say the food was still hot and the chicken had a crunch to it. I was throughly surprised. We ended this a little too much lol. I did heat up my second sandwich the following day. I was a bit nervous but the reheat value on this sandwich was A1. We will definitely recommend and will be back to try other items on the menu. They were busy but the food didn't take long. It was a chill vibe.

Slider w/ medium heat was pretty dang good. Definitely packing some spice, but I wasn't sweating. Fries were crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. To me, that's a sign that a food joint knows what they're doing. And strawberry shake was great. $15 meal? Pretty worth imo.My only complaint is that the chicken wasn't slider-shaped; it was still just a tender, so at the end I had a few bites of bun that I didn't bother eating.

If you want a hot spicy chicken sandwich done right, this is the place to go. Quality is great and they have seven different spicyness flavors. Service is quick - you order and sit down. Food comes out in 5-10 minutes. Inside is clean and has many tables inside. The chicken was fresh and crispy as they fry it right after you order it! The spicyness was what I wanted!

So delicious. The service is fast and the vibes are always immaculate. I love how quickly the food comes out and how hot and crispy the fries are. The outdoor seating is also perfect for enjoying a hot crispy chicken sandwich outdoors!

Not hot chicken at all. I got the second highest level spicy and tasted no spice I passed it to my wife, who has no spice ability, and it came back as rated mildLook if you're a hot chicken place and you give me second highest spicy is milder than this mildest Indian restaurant. You're not a hot place and can't get a good review.

Don't get me wrong, this place packs some heat. I went my middle eastern buddy and found out that this place actually only serves halal chicken which was a fun surprise. This specific restaurant attracts a very young "college crowd" which isn't bad or anything, just unique. The parking situation is not the best and you'll have to pay for parking there on top of everything. The prices are a little expensive but the portions are huge.I ordered their reaper 2 slider meal and it was a little over twenty bucks. They made me sign a waiver which was printed on receipt paper and I thought that was pretty funny. I love spicy food so taking down these two massive sliders was not a problem. Wish they had a wall of photos or t-shirt for people who completed the highest spice level. I feel like that would really make more people dare to try it.

The single mild tender ($4.79) is the cheapest I've seen and equally incredible value. It came with a large tender, slice of bread, pickles, and extra Dave's sauce the guy offered. I'll always order it mild. The best fast food, period. Also, they quite possibly have the best shakes I've had

Bottom Line:I went to a handful of local and commercial restaurants during my very first visit to Denver this past weekend. This fast food restaurant was THE best restaurant my brother and I had dined at. Would definitely recommend.Atmosphere:A bit dark, relies on natural light. Tables are spaced out, very spacious and comfortable, although many tables were dirty. I think they could clean the tables more often.Food:In Atlanta, we have Hatty B's. In Denver, they have Dave's Hot Chicken. I was told that Dave's was better, but I haven't had Hatty B's in a while so I won't compare them. What I will say is that the food here was great.I got the Dave's #4 Meal: 1 Slider W/ Fries, Extra Hot. I think I could have handled The Reaper, but the Extra Hot was the perfect level of spice for me to still enjoy my meal. The chicken was served hot and fresh. Seasoned fries were alright. The Dave's Sauce reminded me a bit of Zax Sauce from Zaxby's(a fried chicken fast food chain on the east side of the US if you guys don't have that in Denver), but it was still great.Service:This is a fast food restaurant so there's not much to say about the service other than the cashiers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.Overall, great place for a quick bite and good food. Great spice, good flavor, good sides, good price. I would come back

Yassss!!! Spicy chicken sandwiches go hard here at Dave's Hot! Be careful with the spice levels bc they can get HOT! Service is always great, and super fast! The murals and artsy decor here is amazing!!! Dave's Hot never disappoints!
