Elevator enters to long hallway. Perfect for a reunion that has a check in table.
Gorgeous pation and fireplace. You can add seating and tables too.
We took off these tables to open it as a dance floor.
Great bar, good selections and fair prices. Lots of room to mingle.
Another sign
They put out signs to help people find the proper place. A surprise & it helps!

We just completed our third event with Comedy Works and the Curtis Ballroom and think so highly of Tiffany and her staff. They make the process so easy and we have loved working with them. The only caveat we have seen is that not everyone has loved the food which happens. You can't make everyone happy. We can't wait for the next event!

We used the Curtis Ballroom for our 40-year High School Reunion this past weekend, Aug. 19, 2023. I've been on the planning committee for past reunions as well as planning a wedding, and a birthday party... I've never had such a great experience with a venue as we had with The Curtis Ballroom. ALL the employees were above and beyond helpful, flexible, and super fast in responding to any question, any changes, just anything. We worked with a few different event planners which helps them be so fast. One person is out of office so another takes over. Brianna, Matt, and Tiffany were our coordinators along the way. Each one was efficient, helpful, courteous, flexible, and patient. We started with a basic contract, but it had to be amended a few times along the way... NO issue at all! SO accommodating! A reunion is hard to plan as people just don't want to pay or commit right away. This makes it hard for the committee to know how much food to order, how we're going to pay for all of this, etc. The fact that they were flexible was beyond helpful! There were many food choices and again they were so flexible with the picking and choosing of what to serve and how to serve it. Day of the event, they assisted us in decorating and making small changes. People loved the food. The bar was reasonably priced and had a decent selection! I thought this was nice as so often a venue bar has lackluster choices. All the people working the night of the event were smiling, happy, and once again... super helpful! I just can't thank them enough. I would highly recommend this place for any party/event and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Really enjoyed the staff, atmosphere and facilities of the Curtis Ballroom at the Landmark! We changed venues this year for my partner's annual holiday party and were pleasantly surprised with this location. The food was buffet style and offered many choices for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. This, along with the many trays of appetizers being offered, and open bar, ensured that no one was hungry or without a yummy adult beverage. The wait staff were fabulous and even remembered my drink order and eventually started just showing up to replace my empty glass. Oh my!The room was set up well and provided much needed space for the growing company. I adored the outdoor patio and especially appreciated the standing heaters that were there to keep us warm in the crisp December weather. Well done! Such a great night!

Truth be told, I have no idea how to even start this review, because I was so impressed by everything. Literally EVERYTHING was perfect - down to everything from the temperature of the room, to the napkins on the table. I was 100% blown away. Let's start from the beginning, shall we.About 6 months ago, my husband and I were in search of the perfect wedding venue. We had the idea of a rooftop/terrace ceremony and reception (which was exactly what we got with Curtis Ballroom). We set up an appointment, enter Kacey. A smart, bubbly, young woman, who was eager to help us and create our perfect day! After her introduction and rundown of how weddings typically go there, we booked right away. I'm sure glad we did! The months before our wedding, we met multiple times with Kacey - who proved to be the best coordinator for us. She ensured our day would be perfect by calling all our vendors, ordering swatches of napkins for us to choose from, digging through the alcohol agreements to determine if they carried a specific beer we wanted at our reception, gave us a complete walk through before the rehearsal, allowed all our family members to come view the space before the wedding and even helped us create a custom cocktail (and cute name!) for our reception! I can't even stress how amazing she and her staff are. Wedding night : normally pretty stressful for any bride, but not me! The tables were set up perfectly (per a picture I had given her of what we wanted our centerpieces to look like), our cake table looked fabulous, and had her staff perfectly time my entrance. Her staff made sure our buffet was perfect, salads brought to each table, drinks poured strongly and consistently, and made the evening seamless. I could easily spend my entire review talking about Kacey and her staff, but there are other elements that make this venue unique and perfect for any wedding:SPACE ITSELF: Large and spacious, open and airy, very modern yet classic = all the pieces we were looking for! Our ceremony was held outside, followed by dinner and dancing inside - with use of the patio at night! The white lights strung outside and fireplace lit, made the outside space feel cozy and warm, while the dim lights, candles and AC made the inside perfect for dancing the night away. Being on the 3rd floor, the Curtis Ballroom offers a perfect "downtown" feel without having to actually be downtown - which we loved. Also, we had use of the entire space (including the comedy works club and 2 restaurants) for pictures and gathering before the wedding! PRICES: Insanely reasonable for the area of town and everything we got. 100 guests + food (which was outstanding) + booze (their wells liquors are most bars "calls) + ceremony + 12 staff members + Kasey's coordination = all under $10,000. I was shocked - and tipped well because everything was amazing!I would highly recommend The Curtis Ballroom, their catering, and staff to any bride looking for the perfect spot for a wedding and reception! Thank you again for an unforgettable night! :)

Back in August I got to attend Katie R's (shouldn't it be F now?!) wedding and reception at Curtis Ballroom. It was a great venue for the happy couple. Def gave that downtown feel without actually having to deal with being downtown. ++ Great third story patio where the ceremony was held. We also got use of the patio for the evening during the reception.++ Great modern decor that was simple, so you can add your event's specific touches.++ Super friendly staff that was happy to help the guests.++ Tasty libations served at the bar. What more do you need from a venue? Nothing that's what.

I attended a workshop here and experienced the smooth event coordination and the delicious food catered by Lucy's.This venue is well put together and can accommodate a variety of events (weddings, corporate meetings, parties). The view from the patio is pretty neat and would be gorgeous at sunset. A bonus is the outdoor fireplace for those chilly nights, and just for some added ambience. The Curtis Ballroom is quite the hidden gem. I didn't find out about it until recently and am going to recommend them to an event coordinator who is always in search of reasonably-priced venues for her company parties.

Really great atmosphere. Perfect for work conferences, small conventions and even weddings. The staff was great! The food was pretty darn good too. There was a full bar as well. Great stock of different assortments of liquor. The view was really pretty and only got better as it got later in the evening.

They have a friendly staff and a nice event space that people enjoyed. Someone else told me that their patio is great for hanging out when it isn't 30 degrees outside. On the other hand, the food is just okay. The brie wrapped in phyllo was an immediate turn-off with the brie's aftertaste. Cordon bleu croquettes, while a guilty pleasure, had too thick a shell in places and were really chewy. The mini-cupcakes (or were they cheesecakes in cupcake paper?) had a sawdust-like bottom and their fruity topping tasted slightly medicinal. The steak was fine, spicy stuffed mushrooms were quite good, salad made okay with their thick dressing.

BEWARE IF YOU NEED THE ELEVATOR AND WANT TO ENSURE A PRIVATE EVENT. The rehearsal dinner/welcome party we hosted at the Curtis Ballroom on July 5, 2024, for our son/future bride was significantly marred by management's poor communication of the elevator breaking. The elevator breaking is not our complaint but we were not informed of this problem until 5 hours before our event was to begin. The elevator was definitely broken on July 2nd (if not sooner) but the owner claims that it was only hours before our event that they were aware that the elevator could not be fixed because the replacement part needed would not be available for 8-12 weeks. I have a hard time believing this was not known sooner. With only hours to spare, we were asked to move a 115 person private party to the main floor which is shared with the public and where people eat/drink before going into the Comedy Works comedy shows. There was a popular comedy show scheduled for July 5th so this space was already being utilized. Additionally we were asked to move the dinner to the second floor therefore missing out on the beautiful rooftop terrace which is what makes this venue special. Pehaps if communication had occured earlier, a better plan could have been determined but by waiting until the last minute, it was an extremely stressful situation. Ultimately we decided to keep the event on the 3rd floor. My wheelchair bound brother was unable to attend at all and many of the guests suffered getting up the multiple steps and coming into the venue from the fire emergency exit. There are alot of steps and almost all the guests came from out of town (sea-level) and were not accustomed to the Denver altitude. After the event, I asked for the owner contact information and instead received a response from the Director of Events offering a 20% discount as a result of the "inconvenience of the elevator misfunction". I feel this is inadequate. After various email exchanges despite asking the owner to call, we will continue to dispute the credit card charges on the basis that we did not receive the value of the services offered. The owner accused me of planning to write reviews that would "trash" her. I'm just providing the facts and hope that any future special events in the coming weeks are handled differently.

We held a memorial service here and decided to find someplace in the boonies so there would be a lot of parking, which there definitely was and it's not far from the freeway.Negatives:The room is divided into a top and bottom level by a ramp, so if you have more than 50 or so people and you want them seated at tables, they will not all be together. The outside of the building has a big Comedy Works sign so that's not exactly elegant. There's a separate Curtis Ballroom entrance but still you should know your guests will be walking into the Comedy Works building. This venue has a weird dank musty smell. Both in the room and in the elevator from the front door.During the process of planning, Tiffany the event coordinator would disappear and not communicate for 4 or more days at a time. This became very stressful especially when trying to get the contract signed. The patio is pretty and spacious but if you're having a daytime event, you should know that no tents or canopies are allowed. You can rent your own shade umbrellas. Positives:It was almost half the price of the other venue we were considering downtown. The food and beverages were excellent and there was only a small charge for the room other than a food and beverage minimum. The staff were all friendly and helpful and even helped unload stuff from our cars beforehand.Everything went quite smoothly for the service and Tiffany was super helpful on the day of the event. This is a small point but the bathrooms are right off the room and were nice and clean! Overall even though it was not perfect it all went fine and was great for the cost, would recommend it.
